If the games are very new is better to buy a new computer, upgrading wont cost much less than buying a new pc, and wont give better performances for sure.

Click here, there are top 12 ones, they are not very expensive , any of them should be fine.
Click on the compare price button to view prices
Most of them are around $200, this is what you pay to play last generations game.
I suggest this Nvidia, it is a great card for $130.

Top cards cost around $500. If you do not want to spend to much money I suggest the following three:

    1. Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS - The GeForce 7 series has
proven to be a favorite for overclockers, and it’s no surprise that
many manufacters are selling GeForce 7 cards overclocked in the
      factory, price? From 120$ on!

    2. ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT - There are 256 MB and 512
MB versions of the Radeon HD 2600 XT, and you may want to look for one
that uses GDDR4 memory rather than GDDR3. The performance is on par
with GeForce 8600s, price? From 100$ on!

    3. Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT - As usual, the primary
difference between the GT and GTS models is that the GT runs at slower
clock speeds. While a Radeon X1950 Pro will outperform them in most DX9
games, these are still fast cards for the money, price? From 100$ on!
    Regards

click next a couple of times follow instructions and restart pc, it should work.

Let me know if you get troubles , I gotta go soon but I will be back to support tomorrow.

CAN YOU SUGGEST SOME RPG/ACTION/ADVENTURE GAMES SUITABLE FOR A PC LIKE I HAVE?

I would upgrade to 4 gb ram before playing closer to current pc games. This can be done very inexpensively.

As for game suggestions. Try The original Witcher:Enhanced edition, World of Warcraft is good, Elder Scrolls Oblivion. You may want to loiok into emulation software as well. Try out SNES9x, or Gens32

Can u replace the Asus U50A graphics card and a list of the upgradable cards?

Quick answer : No. This laptop is not upgradable as far as graphics, few are in fact. You can still play older games (2006 & before) If you need better graphics, you need a computer equipped with nvidia or ati graphics. If want to play all the newest games you need a higher-end machine such as alienware or equivalent.

Last year both my sons bought an eMachine, EL1300, desktop PC. I am looking at upgrading the processor, the Motherboards are both WMCP61M's. I was wondering if I could replace the existing AMD Athlon...

I would suggest you not to go for a processor upgrade, if you want to play games. You should consider upgrading your graphics Card(GPU). The processor that you mentioned above is enough for playing High-end games when combined with a good graphics Card. Upgrading your processor will boost very little game performance. But when you will upgrade your graphics Card. You will notice great boost in game performance and more new games will be supported. Two major manufacturer of Graphics Card are NVIDIA and ATi. You can opt any one of them. Nvidia GPUs are considered as a Good Performer. But also ATi is known for its long lasting life. Both the manufacturers produces a long list of models. Opt for the one that suits your Budget and the performance.
Hope this will help for sure.....

What video card can i buy for my computer ? I have a HP Pavilion a1120n . It already has an internal video card , but i want to upgrade . Its a Intel (R) 82915G / GV / 910GL Express Chipset with 128 mb...

I suggest you install an AGP video card that suits your requirements. If you play games that require a powerful graphics card, then I recommend the G Force range of graphics cards. A computer shop can recommend to you a graphics card depending upon what programs you are running on your computer. The games programs usually recommends a graphic card with their games.
Don't forget to disable/turn off the on-board graphics card in the BIOS if you use an external graphics card.

Hi. I was buying HP Pavilion slimline 5310sc and want to put a new graphic card in it, to play games. What cards would fit best? Bjarki

Graphics cards are of many companies. For my opinion, Ge-force and N-vidia graphics cards are best. 512 mb graphics cards are well for playing games. As your need of gaming, buy high capacity graphics card as 1 gb or 2 gb.

THE PC DVD GAME ON THE COMPUTER DOES NOT PLAY AN ERROR OCCURS

You need to upgrade your graphics card for that. Check out: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest Check out this site before you buy any new games, as it tells you if you can run it or not.

As for a solution: Bring back the game. Return it and save your money. If you don't want to do that, then buy a new graphics card.

What specs should I buy for my cpu that can play latest games like L4d 2, Cod MW2, prototype, etc etc.. and whats the difference between ddr2, ddr3, or gddr 2, gddr3?

a setup to play these kind of games
u need

cpu : core@duo any model
graphic card : ati hd 3850 or higher /// nvidia 9600gt or higher
ram : 2gb or high with 800mhz fsb or more

ddr2 and ddr3 are types of ram
ddr2 is the most widely used one
dd3 is the latest model in rams and is the fastest, but is very expensive
price/performance is better or ddr2

gddr2, gddr3, gddr5 are different models of ram that is used on graphics card

gddr5 is the best that is in the market for mainstream users

Heloo, I am trying to play call of duty world at war and the game keeps crashing. I have tried all different settings in the nvidia control panel and my system is up to date. Can you help me with this?

Make sure your system meets the games minimum requirements. If it does then try using a lower video setting. If that does not work you may need to upgrade to a better graphics card. Hope this helps.
