My Casio ex-z77 lens will not allow me to take photo's, and it closes very slowly. I charged my battery and tried it again, but it still does not close right. Is there any troubleshooting I can do from the menu?
we recently took a trip to the beach and it was very windy. I know for a fact that there is sand in the lens and casio will not repair it under warrenty even though it was in a protective case the entire time. I need to know how to fix my lense it makes a weird clicking noise then says "retry power" or "lense error"

my product is specifc to the exilim z7x (72 maybe)
i power on the camera , the lense comes out , it begins makeing the clicking noises that others here have described, im not sure i would consider this a sand in lense issue -- my camera has been to the beach but works fine for weeks there after , and died after a normal still shot
if i dont find a solution at google i may take the camera to a camara shop
my camera turns on and makes this ticking type noise when it is on and lets me view pictures but not take them and then turns black and takes a mintue then turns itself off and says retry power on.
same problem. I recently took a trip to the bay and i think there may be sand stuck in the lens. I am taking mine to a Ritz Camera tomorrow. But yeah I can see the pictures but I can't take any and when I turn the camera on the screen works for a few seconds but it is really blurry/ gritty. I've only had this camera for 6 months so it really sucks.
My camera turns on makes thi series of noises three times then says retry power on and then sshuts itself off (sometimes with the lens still open). I have no clue what to do?
the camera says retry power on whenever it turns on and it makes this weird noise when the lens is out and the power is on. you can see the pictures but you are not able to take any pictures.
