I had the same errror code on my coleman furnace (3 flashes combustion air switch failed to close) but at first didnt realize there was even a light that gave codes..Anyways long story short, after searching many forums one guy mentioned about the furnace giving a false reading and talked about improper air flow ( coming in and going out) which isnt triggering the switch correctly. After thinking about it and after getting the furnace to run correctly every time I took the door off to tap on the switch (and other spots not knowing what the problem was yet) I always put the door right back on then the furnace would do the same thing (stop running). so I pulled the door off again got the furnace to work properly and left the door off and tested it. It ran great, it started and stopped like normal for a hour and realized I might not be getting proper air flow. Then I remembered I asked my roommate to change my filters for me while I was gone (which he did) and looked at them while I still had the door off and realized the filters were in backwards! which resticted the air flow so much the switch wouldnt operate fully. so check your air filters, something so stupid almost cost me a house visit by the furnace guy....this may not be everyones problem but maybe I will help someone save a house visit....I still cant believe that was my problem and the furnace is still running great.

The air filters have nothing to do with the pressure switch.
Im a heating tech. in upstate ny and have seem this problem many times usually the hoses are lose or plugged but i recently came into one were nether of these were the case real head scratcher. Ended up calling the factory and got to talking with tech he said they've had problems the pressure switches not working right originaly equipeted with a .20wc switch they have switched to a .10wc switch and i suppose that was going to fix it. Didnt try it i talked the customer into a replacing the 2 year old colman that didnt work into a BROAN and she is very happey with her investment.

I followed the instructions on the furnace to reset the ignition switch to off...turn off all electrical power to the furnace...wait 10 minutes...turn on all electrical power & the ignition switch to on...didn't work the first time so I followed the same procedure except this time I also reset the circuit breaker (which was fine anyway) & this time it worked...

My furnace buzzes but dont come on

Did you check the air switch hoses. Sometimes debris gets in the line and causes the switch to stick.

I have been having the same problem with the same model for the last 3 years. It doesn't seem like any professional I have called has a clue of how to fix it because everytime I call someone they come out and replace something and then within a couple months the same thing happens again.

there should be a diagnostic code that will tell you what 3 blinks mean for that model. look on door inside cover. tell me EXACTLY what it does at start up. small draft motor comes on? you see a glow from hot surface ignighter? gas comes on? flame on? it should run in this order.

Coleman furnace

Is this a blend air system? If so, there is an upper & lower control board that communicate to each other, and if the exhaust fan on the roof is out, it will give you intermittent issues. The fan mixes or blends outside air with the return of the air handler, & duals to pressurize the attic. These were installed due to mobile homes built too air tight. Without this fan, your roofing shingles will curl, and your roof decking will bow prematurely.

Combustion Air Switch Failed to Close

I have this furnace in two of my mobile homes. In both I had to take off the inducer motor (i think that's what it's called)..it has the clear air tube attached to it. Remove the 4 screws or top two if you have small fingers and give the wheel inside at the bottom a push. These tend to stick over years of use and in both cases once freed the furnace came on. I too had 3 flashes in both cases.

I have a coleman/evcon electric ignition lp furnace. I get error cede combustion air switch stuck closed even after replacing the combustion air switch.

Have you tried to replace pressure switch for the combustion air. If your not sure where to find it if you pull the front panels off follow the flue pipe down to combustion chamber the combustion fan motor is either inside the flue pipe or out side of it not sure on the one you have but you should see two plastic tubes that connect to a barb onto the topside of the fan and one on the bottom they both should go back to the pressure switch. i hope this helps you if you have any more question or if this doesnt fix the problem just reply back to this message . Make sure fan is working when furnace starts up. It should be the first thing that comes on when there is a call for heat

Defective combustion air switch. The 3 blinks are an error code. You didn't say, but I'm guessing you have a Coleman Evcon. They had alot of defective Combustion air switches. Your specialists were not that.

Have a coleman evcon furnace model DGATO56BDD. blink code flashes 3 times with no diagram to know what the problem is. the furnace blows cool are instead of warm.

Your centrifical swith is stuck open on your blend motor. I found that removing the blend motor housing and spinning the stuck motor (from setting over the summer) will get you out of a bind ,.but you may end up needing this centrifical switch (locatedon the bottom of the blend/fresh air intake) motor replaced.
