Dyson makes loud noise

My Dyson makes a loud noise like something is stuck in it, but nothing is. I have taken it apart, cleaned it, and put on a new belt, but it still makes a loud "brrrr" noice that doesn't sound good. It just started doing this after it ate a small rock. I got the rock out, but the nojise continues. Can you please help me. Everything is tightened and I can't find the problem. Thank you so much.

My dyson animal sounds like something is stuck and flapping in the hose, filter, etc. I have taken it apart and I can not find anything. Have you had anyone else experience this issue?

try changing the filter. could be it is coming apart and making the noise. Also sometime these hoses will tear on the inside (lining of hose) and make a flapping or knocking sound. Check the hose as well.

Vacuum cleaner makes very loud noise when starting to vacuum - like something is stuck in roller area

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC33. The brush control is designed to make a ratcheting sound to warn you if something is obstructing the brushbar. If you've checked the cleaner head and brushbar already, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly as we'd appreciate the opportunity to provide further assistance.

You can call us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US) - please have the machine to hand when you call so we can run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you.

We'll look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Jack

My Dyson is making a really strange loud sound. It appears to be working. I just took it apart and cleaned the filter and the wand. When I put everything back together, it started making a heavy whirring...

Check the tips of the beater bar. I "bumped" mine to hard and broke a tip. Still worked! Just noisy. Called Dyson support and they sent me a new one no charge. Note. Mine had a loud whirring and a vibration.

I have a new dyson vacuum cleaner that is making a loud noise it started when I was vacuuming one day

It probably sucked something big up in it and it is stuck. Get a flashlight and turn the vacuum upside down and look and see if you can see anything you can chat with me and I can walk you through it

Beater head makes loud noise on 'carpet' mode

Possibly a belt problem, but more than likely a brushroll problem.
The bearings are cheap and nasty, and are prone to siezing.

If you visit http://www.sparesaver.com/help-and-support/dyson-section/dyson-technical-advice-450/ they have alot of info on repairing dyson cleaners AND they sell the parts, cheapest ive seen online.

Hope that helps

When in carpet mode, brushes seem to be hitting something. Brushes cleaned - how to stop making the awful noise

LOL do you mean when you move the vacuum forward (say into a baseboard)? it makes the loud shocking noise.. i hate that too.. but that's the crazy Warning sound indicating something is stuck (like you sucked up an area rug) or you have run into something and it set off a sensor.

Beater bar not turning, making loud sound

This machine has a clutch assy. that slips and makes a loud noise
when something gets stuck in the roller brush. If you have nothing stuck in the roller brush chances are the clutch is worn and needs
replacing. Not an easy job and best done by a repair tech. You can find a video on youtube showing how to replace the clutch if you are
inclined to try to do it yourself.

Loud noise

This is the clutch as it jams up in the brush. Usually happens with rugs that are not secured to the floor.
