If you put a disk in and all it does is click several times, it's more than likely the spindle motor. It's best just to replace the DVD drive. Recording in the default high speed mode tends to cause the spindle motor to fail over time. Usually in a very short period of time. It's best to set your record speed to the standard mode to avoid premature failure of the spindle motor.

Problem playing dvd with panasonic sa-pt660 keep getting an H02 error message?

Thousands of annoyed customers of Panasonic, Yamaha, and Denon DVD Player owners have encountered the infamous H02 / H07 /H03 erors and many others on thier players or maybe the "No disk" error even though a disk is in the drive. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start"

Does not play DVD with all region

"Region-Free" is not the same as "Region All" - the "Region All" discs are extremely hard-to-find.

There is not a USB port on this DVD player, so it will not play those files from a USB drive. It will, however, play those file types if they are burned onto a DVD Video disc, or Audio CD. It will not play Data DVD's or CD's.

Errors burning to 1x to 16x DVD-R

I have had much luck recording on off brand 16X discs as follows:

1) Record a "dummy" program on the hard drive, need only about 15 or 20 seconds.

2) Put a blank disk in drive, and COPY that dummy program to disk. Do not finalize.

3) After a minute or so, window will come up and say "Cannot
complete copy."

4) Now while above window on screen, click HOME MENU, COPY, New program list, Select your movie/program to copy, go ahead and finalize, and START.

5) Think you'll find this is successful, however there might be some brands of blank disks that won't work.

6)Let me know if it works for ya. JGIDUSKO@CFL.RR.COM

Disc read problems....

The problem may lie with the format of the disk, is the disk a
DVD-R -, or a DVD-R+?. if it was a bought DVD, it may be the wrong regon (i dont know how to spell the aforesaid word), a bad copy, a dirty reader, a dusty DVD, or your player.

thats all i can say

Daewoo DVRS05 Recorded DVD won't play in OTHER DVD players

my suggestion from reading other forums is that these players sometimes have problems finalizing the disc.. you could try making a copy of the disc in a computer to see if this fixes the promlem or maybe media these use dvd+r and has a lot of compatibility issues with dvd players.

Dvd recorder wont finalize etc

The DVD drive works harder when trying to record the info faster. As the unit ages, tracking is less precise. DVD-R copies occur at 4-16X real time. Try DVD-RW disks which copy slower (now that the price has dropped substantially), and you may find that your aging drive can still copy programs from the HD to the DVD.
