Hey there. the full printing solution drivers for your printer is about 300 MB. Verify that you have at least twice this space on your operating sistem's partition and try again to dld the driver. Another thing... try using Iexplore if U're Using mozila or something else for dld. The problem is from the drivers if the colours are solid when printing an internal job or a colour copy.

In your printer options screen if connected to a pc , it sound like your jets are blocked you need to do a printer head clean do this several times if still no joy you can buy jet cleaning solution to help loosen dried ink .
On your computer, click Start
Click Control Panel
Select the Dell Printer
Restart your computer
Turn the printer on
Allow the computer to reinstall the device-device for the printer.
Print a test page.
If your colors are all in the right slots, I would do a test print. This is usually done by turning the printer off and then hold the form feed button down while you turn it back on. It will go into a test print mode and print out some pages and tell you what lines should be what color and so on. If it test prints correctly, then the printer is not the problem and I would simply reload the printer driver software again since you may have gotten some sort of gliche in the software driver. Normally that will correct the problem. If the problem comes out the same in the test print pages then go through your setup procedure on the printer itself per the user manual. I have a HP Deskjet 1300n printer. I can print my email, pictures and
items off the internet, but cannot print any word documents or notepad
documents. When I print an excel document, I get an incomplete page-the
grid lines will print,and text garbage from a adobe program but not all the text. When I do a test print
page, I get an incomplete text page, but do not know how to solve this.
I have removed and reloaded the printer software-no improvement. There
are no new drivers to be installed.
