Here's an answer to your problem. if it is froze hold the off button for 10 or 15 seconds or take it back to the store and buy a diffrent one.

My philip 8gb froze up and then turned off and wont turn back on


It's not broken.
You have to upgrade the firmware on the GoGear to resolve the issue.
The instructions and files that you need are on Philips website.

My mp3 player has froze


Maybe try taking the battery out and putting it back in, because once my mp3 player froze and that worked. It froze when I was going through menus when the song was playing still and it was probably too much...
