Removing hte front panel will gain you acess to the ignitor assy, it plugs in to a harness, to ck it unplug the harnes and check ignitor for continuity. or carefully plug a meter into machine side of harnes and turn unit on your loooking for 110v. if you have 110v and ignitor not lighting you have bad ignitor, if no voltage present id look toward a bad thermal fuse

I would check your thermal cutouts near the heater element. If they have continuity, see if your element is getting voltage. If it is, relplace the element.

I just purchase this and it has a gas connector and I don't have one. Do I need it use the gas line in order for it to work?

This model is a gas powered clothes dryer. The electric plug is for the automatic igniter that turns the flame on. I suggest you take it back to Sears and get an electric one, if your home doesn't have a plumbed propane gas line.

Our kenmore 697267 keeps tripping it's circuit every 5 minutes or so... what's the problem with it? Is it dangerous to just keep resetting it?

definatly a prob if tripping breaker every5 miin, resetting breaker is not good for either the breaker nor hte dryer, that would be hard to determine why without actually looking at though, i would probably calll someone to have a look at that one

Most dryers are 220 so they can produce the amount of heat required to properly dry clothes. I would Not recommend trying to convert the dryer to 110 voltage. This may cause you alot of unwanted problems. I would find a Qualified electrician to install a 220 outlet at the location of the dryer .
