Question about Biozone Water Filters for Counter Top: Water Filter for Counter Top Air Purifier

Under Counter Water Filter Leaking after Use Sometimes!

We have a GE Reverse Osmosis system under the kitchen sink - altho I do not see a catagory offered for this on this site.

Sometimes, after you draw water from the spicket - several minutes later, you hear water dripping off the counter onto the floor!

What causes this? Is it some sort of pressure thing? Doesn't seem to do it when not in use ---- just sometimes after drawing water from the spicket.

Got it! Your return line is clogged!

I have the same dispenser, and there are 3 tubes attached to it. One of them (black on mine) goes from the faucet to the drain pipe coming down from the sink. That line can get clogged over time with stuff coming out of your sink. You can probably disconnect that line at the drain pipe end and **** oput the connection and as much of the hose as you can get too., Reattach the line and you are done. Fire it up.

On my unit, we hear a dripping sound in the drain when the unit is charging. If you don't hear the dripping sound after using the unit, that line is probably clogged up!

See ya!

GE Adora microwave worked 20 minutes ago. Now, totally dead. The lights, fans, turntable motor, microwave cooking elements, nothing.. works. AC power to the outlet is just fine.

Sometimes if a lot of steam has been produced while cooking, water may collect under the turntable plate and run down the spindle into the turntable motor. This can short circuit the motor and it will take the fuse out with it.
The fuse is usually housed in a plastic tubular case about 2inches long. Split the tube apart and replace the fuse if necessary (it's something silly like about 7000 volts). Switch on and check to see if anything else is not working like the turntable, lights, or fan etc and replace as necessary.

It doesnt work when you plug it in, no sound.the fan does not come on. what can i check to see if it is suposed to work?

There's a reset button on the bag of the unit, as well as a replaceable fuse (if necessary). But before trying all of that, check to make sure that the screen on the back is installed properly. There is a tab on the right side, at the bottom of the filter. If that is not tripping or pushing in the built-in contact, nothing will work. It's a safety switch for when you remove the filter regularly to clean it. Cleaning is simple .. just back flush with warm water in the kitchen sink. Then fold a towel around it to capture most of the water and use a blow drier to finish the job.

Put filter in bathtub, or sink if it'll fit, and swish it in the moderately hot soapy water, use can use dish soap. Then rinse off with moderately hot water but not scalding, then tamp it off onto a towel to get as much water off of it as you can. Your supposed to then let it dry for a while before reuse.

Although your solution will work to supply water, the flow to the icemaker will probably not be high enough to turn the Living Water on to actually ozonate the water. Ecoquest does have a unit available, made just for icemakers.

Cleaning the grid

Hi,
You clean the cell by soaking it in warm soapy water in the kitchen sink: "
soak the Electronic Collector Cell in warm
water in a kitchen sink or bathtub. Mild dish detergent (powder
or liquid) may be added to the water to help break down the
dirt on the Collector Cell. The Collector Cell should be allowed
to soak for two to three hours."

Water Filter Leaks

Since you weren't very specific where it leaks or when it started (like after a filter change) it could be tough to troubleshoot this leak.

If it is leaking at the faucet connection try tightening up where it screws onto the faucet. Depending on your strength (or lack of) you may need to use pliers to get a tight connection. Don't go crazy tight or it will crack the plastic fitting. If it still leaks remove the unit from the faucet and check the rubber washer inside where it screws onto the faucet. Make sure it's still there and is centered inside the cup and seated properly. Then reattach the unit to the faucet and tighten it well.

If it's leaking from the main body try removing the filter and reinstalling it making sure you have seated the filter properly and screwed on the cover correctly, and all the way. When it is tight the water outlet will be exactly at the bottom of the unit. Sometimes it's tricky getting it tight enough especially with wet hands.

Finally, if the leak is coming from the filter on/off selector this could be tough to fix. I would try firmly pushing and pulling the selector knob in and out several times while in both the on and off positions. This may re-seat the leaking seal. I wouldn't be too hopeful about this fix though. You may need to replace the unit if this part is leaking.
