Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

XP Computer does not detect

I just purchased a new player yesterday it is called the "Digital MP3/4 Player". The player itself works fine and I know the USB cable works because it will effectivly hook into the battery and charge the player as needed. However, when I plug the cable into the computer (while being plugged into the player) it does not recognize that their is even anything plugged in. It acts as though I have nothing plugged into the USB socket, which of course I do. What should I do??? How do I fix this? Thank you soooo much for all of your time and help in this matter!
Best Regards,
MissKaseyB I bought a lg mp3/mp4 player and I with cm50011 and scc91-036 I bought it from a company claiming to be Team Electronics with they were traveling through the area. This is a gift for the wife since Valentines Day and I can't get it to download anything but photos from the computer. I'm able to download kids songs that are on my hard drive from Match music but that is it. The company has an answering machine but no one will return my call. It does that a manual but directions are not even close to being clear. Can you help you out or do I have to bite the bullet?

Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

Hi.

The unit is new, and does not connect to a computer. Test it using a different computer, if it still does not connect, then call Best Buy and have it replaced.

MP3 player suddenly not connecting

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Coby's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Mp3 player not detected computer

When you have it connected, it probably gives a 3 letter combination like MCS or something, try changing that usb type under your menu and the computer should detect it, let me know if this doesn't work

XP Computer does not detect

Here are some suggestions:
Try using a new/different USB cable. The ones that come with these players are known to be defective at times.
Try using a different USB port on your computer.
Try it on a different computer.

Not detected by computer - cannot recharge battery

yay I found a solution! so I kept getting the error about an MTP device, so I did a big search. I am running vista on a 32 bit processor. what you need to download is the MTP installation programme from windows. so click on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211
and then just select what processor speed you need. should do the trick! I also downloaded http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en initially, but it didn't appear to work. hope that you all get to the bottom of this frustrating problem :)

I had the same problem but on different computers, home works great, office won't detect it.
Try using some other computer just to see if it the players fault.

Its not plug and playing Sandisk 240m 1g

Hi blackmajik, I just got a Sandisk m250. Windows wouldn't recognize it either until I updated my Windows Media Player to version 11. Now XP sees it just fine and the MP3 player syncs with WMP and accepts and plays music!
