We have had the problem, that the scanner generated a crazy sound after it dropped onto the concrete floor. I think the buzzer came loose. Best thing to do on a short time basis is to disable the beep via the manual. You can find the manual here:
1. Beep codes indicates that there is some problem with your RAM memory sticks installed into your computer motherboard. 2. For detailed information about the beep codes, refer your motherboard user manual as there are different kind of beep notifications for different problems. 3. Try removing the RAM from your motherboard, clean of any dust, replace it back to the motherboard and try starting your system. Repeat the step for atleast 10 times, until your system starts up. 4. If still the problem, persists, try replacing your RAM and try again as this will help us to find out if the problem is with RAM or not.
I hope this is helpful to you. Please rate the solution provided. Thanks
with the unit off, hold down the two keys on the bottom corner (enter, sp key) and press then release the on key while continuing to hold down the "enter" and "sp" keys until you get a promt on the display.
When a prompt comes up release all the keys. Hold down the 5 key for 3 beeps. The unit will test memory for about 1 min, then beep. Press any key to turn the device off. Then press the on key to power the unit back up.
if you need additional information please let me know.
That message which your scanner is displaying is the normal and correct mode in stdby, there is no problem with it.
If the scanner says "bad command" is because you are pressing the "enter" (ENT) key without any command selected before.
