You need to use alcohol to clean all the moving parts. The problem is that the original lubricants have become sticky and the arm cannot turn all the way back. Clean with alcohol until it begins to move freely, then re lubricate with a light oil, like sewing machine oil.

How do you get the arm back over the carousel so you can play a CD initially?

The gripper motor is powered by the K6 switch which is a copper wiper ring you can see at the end of the gearbox. If that is dirty or has a dead spot it will stop the motor before it should.

Hi, I have a Wurlitzer New York New York CD jukebox. It was running ok, now when I plug it in, it comes on, but there sounds like there is no power getting to the AMP and its flashing an "8"...

The problem is most likely the K7 microswitch actuator. I have these as well as the instructions to install and adjust it. Please email Normally this is a very inexpensive repair. BTW, the NYNY is hands down the most beautiful CD box produced.

I have a 1993 wurlitzer New York, New York jukebox. it has the same inters as a 1015 one more time. the problem i am having is with the cd gripper arm. it will take a cd from the cd carousal and place it...

I would suspect you have a lubrication (or more specifically lack of lubrication) problem. When the gripper arm is over the carrier, pick it up a couple of inches (as it moves to pickup a CD) and drop it. It should snap right back down. If it doesn't, it will not properly pickup and return CDs. You may be able to lubricate it to get it working again. For further information, you may email me,

I have a wurlitzer 'Manhatten'. How do I make it

The Manhattan is made by Sound Leisure of Leeds UK.
If this is the jukebox you have, you should be able to download a manual from their sites

Missing CD player of Wurlitzer CD Jukebox model New York,NY 1993

All of the one more time jukeboxes used the Phillips CD player, they started with the CDM3 then the CDM4 and CDM12 etc.
Around 1993 it would have been the CDM3/4.
You need to identify which Decoder it is using in the jukebox or you need a kit that replaces the CD player and Decoder.
