Hi,

remove the batterys.
And look for a switch/button underneath the battery compartment. this should help you re-sync your controller.

Remotete looses connection. If I leave a game switched on and put the remote down for a while, when I return there is no curser on the screen, and no way of getting it back. The only way is to leave it...

Hello there!

What this looks like is a problem with the batteries. Your batteries might be very low and need replacing. I would suggest replacing the batteries in your remote and seeing if that works.

If this does not work, you can try permanently syncing your Wii remote again.

You can do this by:
Step 1. Turn on the Wii console.
Step 2. Open up the back of the Wii remote and press the little red button that says "SYNC." next ot it.
Step 3. While the Wii remote's 4 LEDs are flashing, press the big rectangular "SYNC." button on the Wii console (in case you didn't know this, the Wii's SYNC. button is located under the plastic flap on the front of the Wii console, with the SD card slot). Wait a second, and the remote will register as a remote on the Wii console. This is the only sure-fire way to sync a Wii remote. TIP: make sure when you turn the console on, that you press A on the remote you want to be first player first, or it might get the remotes' player orders mixed up. They will still be synced to the console, but just in undecided orders. You will have to press A for the remote(s) you want to use every time you turn on the Wii console.

If all else fails I would suggest contacting Nintendo support at 1-800-895-1672 and they should be able to help you further. You could also go to your local electronics store that sells Wii products and get a replacement and follow the syncing as stated above.

Wii curser or pointer jumps around

There are a few conditions that you need to check:

  • Batteries fully charged or at full power
  • Wii remote is aligned properly.
If the batteries are dying, that might be a cause of the jumpiness because it'll have trouble maintaining a signal lock with the sensor.

Make sure you have the sensor in the right place (above or below the TV as you specify in the settings).

Make sure you have the Wii remote sensitivity settings correct too. All of these things are in the settings menu.

Lost curser

Make sure that the sensor bar has an uninterrupted clear connection with the Wii remote.

The wii remote curser does not show up on the screen.

Check that the batteries are fully charged and make sure that the top end of the control is clean (no finger prints etc...) and that the bar that sits on your tv is centered correctly and plugged in correctly

Wii Remotes can turn on but no arrows.

I had the same problem. When I looked at my system, I noticed the sensor was turned sideways with my tv remote in front of it. When I turned my sensor around correctly, and moved my tv remote away from it, the arrows suddenly appeared! Make sure nothing is blocking your sensor!

This sucks...

If the Wii is set to 60hz make sure your tv supports it. For the curser problem, try replacing the sensor bar or changing the sensitivity

Wii controller not doing anything

I had this same problem. I read somewhere to unplug the Wii for a minute so that when you turn it back on it will have to reload the bluetooth data from the firmware. Worked immediately for me. Hope this helps.
