I have checked RAM, and we have just recently changed our motherboard, checked all setups, then all possible ways I know I checked. Could you tell what might be problamatic, RAM, processor or motherboard, which is causing this no display problem. I am not able to detect what is the problem as Mother is new, RAM is working properly, I can hear beep when i remove the RAM, then just want to know what other times this no display problem occurs and what one should do to correct it.

Hi,

you need to try a different monitor, Or try your suspected faulty monitor on another computer.
This will eliminate the problem between monitor faulty, or motherboard faulty.

It sounds as if you,ve done the obvious solutions, so the monitors either not getting enough power to kick out of standby. Or you have a motherboard/ Monitor Fault.

Process of eliminations the best next step.

    Hi Lee,

    thankyou for your Rating.

I,d definately suggest Motherboard fault, if thats the case.

Your only options Are On-Board Graphics Card, AGP Card And PCI Card.

If none of those work, it,s motherboard Or Corrupt Bios.

    Good-luck buddy.

My computer screen says 'in power save mode' what

Is your computer switched on? Is it connected to the monitor? If the answer is "yes" to both of these, then just move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard. It should all work now. It was saving power because you weren't using it. If not contact me with more info and I will try to help.

You seem to have a corrupt display card. Is it on board or do you have a separate graphics card installed in your PC. Either way on restart graphics processor is not turning on. What does the Power and HDD indicator on the PC show during boot up. You could also have damaged the Hard Disk because of your abrupt shutdowns. You can open the side cover and try disconnecting the HDD power (Yellow, Black & Red ) cable and IDE ( 40 pin flat ribbon wire ) cable and try restarting. If your monitor starts up and shows BIOS page you have a faulty HDD. Also see if the processor fan is a working when you start the PC. If not you have a failed mother board. Are you getting the boot up RAM beep. If not before you do any of the above mentioned things Just pull out the RAM ( with PC unplugged ) and reinsert into the slot. It might get your PC working after all

Montior 14 inch montior ligt on but not disply what is problem

Is the monitor DVI + VGA? blue and white ports (2)?

If so, you may need to hit the source button to switch sources. This can happen rarely.

Another option is to try a different monitor to verify that it is indeed your monitor that is broken.

Good luck! :)

What are the possible disadvantages of computer monitors?

Monitors, otherwise known as displays or screens, currently come in two formats: LCD and Trinitron ("the boxy thingy").
LCD pros: Flat, low radiation (as far as I know) LCD cons: displays can either come with or develop "dead pixels" - pixels that remain a solid color or display black, are very fragile - pressing the display surface is not "healthy" for the display
Trinitron pros: deep color Trinitron cons: relatively moderate-to-medium radiation
Both types of displays can suffer from "screen burn" - if an image is displayed for too long (several hours/days) it will permanently "burn" itself into the display and be visible at all times.

Computer have hp brand but this system don't get display when monetor cabel is connected to cpu

Try different monitors hooked up to the computer. If your not getting any video from any monitor then at that point. Try unseating and reseating the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at at time. Try turning on the computer after each reseat. If that doesn't work then try unseating and reseating the CPU and see if that makes the computer turn on. After this, make sure only the power supply is hooked up. If you still can't get video then that means the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Hi.I have a 17 inch lcd DGM monitor and would like to increase the screen resolution from the standard 1024X768 to 1280X1024 as the monitor display is not crisp. However when I go to the monitor settings on...

Well, David, I would think possibly the problem is that, as you suspect, the monitor is not capable of rendering the higher display settings. If you can set your software to the higher settings, that doesn't mean the software is not functioning properly, and I'm thinking the user manual for the monitor will explain the monitor settings, if any are manual, and you will have to address the monitor's menu through any buttons on the monitor. Another thing you can try to obtain a crisper display, is a setting I found one time is the "high contrast" setting (go to the Accessories Folder and Ease of Access Center and set up High Contrast. It helps some people, but may not really solve your resolution problem. Your manual should be close enough, but try to see if it has provisions to increase it's resolution or temperature settings. In the "older days", there was a slightly different resolution setting that had only one parameter, the "color temperature" setting, if I remember correctly. That was the way they changed the sensitivity of the tube. You can select different settings, and observe the effect, and hopefully improve your display. Good luck!

Pc turns on but no display on monitor

It sounds like the screen refresh rate is set to high. Try to plug in a monitor that you said works with the computer. If you have windows xp:

1) Go to the Control Panel
2) Select the Display icon
3) Select Settings then Advanced in the right corner
4) Select the monitors tab
5) change the screen refresh rate to 60

Click OK twice and close the control panel. Power off the pc and then change the monitor to the original one. Please let me know how this works for you!

Monitor problem

1 - Is the video lead plugged in fully ?
2 - is the power to the monitor supplied direct from the mains, or from the PC itself ?
3 - Have you tried the monitor on another PC ?
4 - Have you tried another monitor on your PC ?

Depending on answers from above - we can move forward from there..

Keep in touch..
