Question about Samsung DVD-VR357
I just bought this DVD/VCR
recorder. I used a Maxell DVD-R and
successfully copied a VHS tape to the DVD.
However, the dvd will not play on any other machine, including my computer,
which doesn't even see anything recorded on it. The dvd does play in the
Samsung. Is this typical? Or did I use the wrong kind of recordable
dvd? I would like it to be able to play these dvds on other
Did you finalize the disk? If not, this should solve your problem. When the disk is finalized you should be able to play it on your computer if you can play other DVDs on it. Some other DVD players can only play specific disks (i.e. DVD-R, DVD+R). This may be another problem.
