Sorry recheck that model # doesn't come up on the parts look up. I go to the parts lookup to see which dryer syle you have . Some the top comes up some have a lower front pant that removes.

Actually most are opened from the top. as accessed as needed from back, depending on your model. a simple flat screw driver will help you pry the top open. it will lift up in most cases.

first to ensure it most probable the belt. turn on the unit (if you feel safe, keep in mind this unit may begin heat cycle with burners kicking on) listen at the back of the unit and you will hear the motor ever so quietly running (cause it dosent have a load on it). try this with the heat off. this will help narrow down the possible belt issue.

Samsung dryer DV4015J turns on and motor sounds like its working but the drum does NOT turn so clothes do not dry, they just sit in dryer container?

If this is the older type, then the dryer drum is rotated by a thin loop belt that goes around the drum and then a pulley on the motor. I had to replace my 20 year old dryer belt on a Whirlpool a couple years ago. The front comes off and the belt slips over the drum. The front of the Whirlpool is held on by friction clips that have to be pried off with a flat blade. I suspect that you can do the same. look on the internet for a diagram of your dryer or you may have one in the manual that came with the machine.

Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model #LGR7648KQ0 has no heat - I cleaned out the vent (it was pretty well clogged!) and then replaced the Fixed highlimit thermostat, the thermal fuse and the dryer cycling thermostat...

The problem is the dryer coils are failing. They tend to fail as they heat up. There is a video at http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html this will walk you thru checking them. They are inexpensive and easy to replace.

DRUM IS NOT ROTATING, BLOWER IS WORKING AND IS PRODUCING HEAT could i have blown a belt?

Try this first:
Unplug the dryer, reach inside and try to rotate the drum 1/4-1/2 turn, sometimes motors get dead zones in them and this will rotate it out of the zone if that is your problem.
If that did not work then chances are that you have a broken belt.
If you have a front loading machine:
If you remove the front of the dryer, it will expose the drum and the belt, if you remove the drum it will expose the drum rollers, motor, and idler pulley.
I hope this helps

My whirlpool dryer heat up. But does not spin.

Disconnect Power. Lift Cover on lint filter. Remove two Phillips screws taking care NOT to allow them to fall into the blower housing. Place putty knife in the seam between the top and front panel about 2” in from either side. Push in on clip while pulling control panel forward and tilting putty knife handle up, all at the same time. Same on opposite side. Raise top all the way.

Check for belt on drum half way back on the drum running from left to right. If belt is missing or broken replace with part number 341241 later in this process.

Looking down inside dryer on left and right see a 5/16" hex head screw about 6 inches down. Remove each side while holding front panel in place. Pull top of front panel about 3 inches forward from sides and then pull up. This will disengage the front panel from lower pressure clips and allow you to turn it sideways and expose the dryer interior. Rotate front panel to right to get it out of the way watching to ensure wiring is not damaged.

Place new belt over drum groove side down if old one was broken. Check white idler pulley for free rotation before installing in holes of floor under motor pulley. Replace with part number 691366 if rotation of pulley is not free or if it appears worn. Loop belt with ribs inward and pass through the open space in the idler arm below pulley then pass loop over motor pulley rib side down. The configuration at the motor should now look like the Whirlpool model in the image below:

Belt and pulley configuration

Grasp front edge of dryer drum and rotate counterclockwise slowly to align idler and motor pulley and to remove any twists in the belt.

Reverse disassembly process to re-assemble.
