Hi my daughter has a msi wind u100 and half the keyboard is not working,all the f and number keys work but the only letters that type are qwrios and d,any ideas how to sort this problem please?????

Here are the things that you can try to diagnose the issue.
- Boot to "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" by pressing F8 (or F10..depending on the brand of the unit), if you can type from there, you are 100% sure that you're having software issue. In this case, you can perform virus scan, registry fix or reinstall the whole operating system.
- Replace the keyboard if it is not working in "Safe Mode". You can purchase a keyboard replacement or send back the unit to MSI repair center if still under warranty.

This is a very bothersome problem and msi should find fix for it but in the mean time just hit the fn key and f3 to make it stop. You will have to do this each time you turn on your computer then typing will be ok. Good luck
Wrong keyboard mapping. Start / Control Panel / Regional and Languages Options / Languages / Details / in there select the keyboard arrangement you want - most likely the english EN one.
