Above the oven door handle, got so hot it burned my grandson's hand. Kenmore stove purchased new in June 2008. This can't be safe. Door was closed well, gasket is brand new. Door overheats every time the oven is turned on.

ive had the same. it gets too hot to touch all round-on the external areas and only after the oven being on a short time. it was recently re-fitted into my new kitchen. i dont remember it doing this when it was in the old position? im concerned as the cupboards are flush against it and it could be a fire hazard?

Other than checking the door seal itself, make sure its intact and door closes properly. make sure door' doesnt spring back open after closing does the opening along sid look to be even all the way up the side. maybe the oven door opens more than 90 degrees?? if it does id look into replacing the door hinges

My daughter's oven was doing the same thing. I had them buy another window. The new assy came with only the single glass pane just like original but you could see where a second pane can mount. I installed the old pane in the new window assy and now they have a 2 pane window behind the front glass door panel. Guess what? It is now cool to the touch and will now harm their small children. It was worth the $45 to make this change. I don't know why they have to be so cheap and only install 1 pane of glass.

Amica is a European brand, I recommend you contact the company headquarters or a competant local repair shop. Any oven left at a very high temperature for a long period of time gets pretty hot, though, and an eleven month old baby has pretty tender skin.

Hi.
You should not need to replace the complete door, just the door glass.
If you have not already done so, then I would suggest you contact the maker direct, they should be able to help you.

Hi, I only just installed Baumatic single built in fan oven (B0616SS). I did as instructed and left on for 39 - 40 minutes at max 250 temp. I noticed that the oven door was very hot to touch, too hot! This...

Hello- This is a brand new model, but it works the same as the rest. Heat is produced by the elements. The fan has an element that glows when heating the air. --Convection oven glass gets hotter than normal fanless models.-- This is all normal operation of the oven.  To ensure full life of oven, avoid using the 'self-clean' feature. Techs call this the 'self-destruct' cycle. Please reply to this post if info is helpful- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

There is a vent tube that generally goes up to a back burner where you can use it for keeping something warm. There may be a problem with that tube falling out??? and all the heat is venting to under the stove top. Look fer it

I think you are feeling the heat coming from the oven vent. The fan still runs as it tries to cool down the temp in the compartment housing the electronics.

GE monogram double oven display getting extremely hot

Usually the knob type controls uses the bulb for temperature regulation. There is usually only one adjustment available - otherwise the thermostat has to be replaced. - that dial with the temperature graduations on it. the whole unit - the bulb in the oven is connected to it.

Burning hot oven door

As far as I'm concerned this is a safety hazard and not acceptable be any means. No oven face should reach temperatures that can cause serious harm to the consumer. For some reason the door is not releasing the hot air built up between the glass sheets. When the oven is running, can you feel hot air escaping through the top of the door ? Also, is there hot air coming out at the sides of the door ?

What do you mean by very hot? Is it too hot to touch? Hot enough to sizzle when a drop of water is put on it?
