Question about Epson Stylus C84 InkJet Printer
Printer was working fine. Yellow ink ran out. During replacement of cartridge, process seemed to stop before the ink charging. Carriage stuck where it can't be opened (on the right). Two lights flashing. Message says turn off, clear paper jam and turn back on. No paper jam seen. Can't get carriage to move into open so I can check that. Tried turning off and back on several times. Tried unplugging and replugging. No luck. Please advise.
Well, I'm not too happy that the only response I got was solicitation for the Premium Assistance Plan.
Figuring that the printer had pretty much died, I allowed my husband, Mr. Fix-It, to give it a try. He simply pushed up on the front end of the ink carrier and slid it into the opening. This allowed him to get at the cartridges and push gently down on the new cartridge I'd installed. It had not been seated completely. Works fine now.
I'd be curious to know why I found a huge ink spot under the printer. It has probably been there for quite some time, as I usually just dust around things rather than move them.
