When u playback a recorded video and watch it on a TV, do you find the stripes...? Waiting for your reply..!!

Before spending a lot on the CCD as my friend said, i would request you to clean the head of your camcorder sufficiently and try once again. Even dirt on heads could prove such stripes.

    Thankyou

i mean to ask if the output file in LCD alone has blue stripes or even the output file transfered to computer also is bad?

  • isaac johny
    isaac johny Mar 14, 2008

    ooops for all the tapes?

then this must be due to the BAD CCD sensor.

this part is responsible for the capture of light in proper manner

  • isaac johny
    isaac johny Mar 14, 2008

output file means the one that you have transfered to the computer

does that also show the problem?

  • isaac johny
    isaac johny Mar 14, 2008

ccd is the part that is responsible for capture of light in a proper manner and make it into a sensible image
this is what is recoded by the tape.

"tapd my spch" ?? what u mean?

  • isaac johny
    isaac johny Mar 14, 2008

ya what i guessed was right.

you taped your speech and everything was fine right.

i said the CCD is bad. it means it is able to record that alone correctly.

this is enough to prove that CCD is bad.

please replace that part alone sir.

    this will surely fix you.

    thank you sir.

    good luck

SOURCE: my screen is striped blue during playback

Your tape has a small latch on it that closes to protect from recording or eraser and opens to allow for playing or dubbing. Slide it open and see what happens.

Choppy recording and playback

If the heads become dirty, “NEED HEAD
CLEANING” appears during recording. During
playback, moreover, the following symptoms
appear.
≥Mosaic-like noise appears partially or the
sound is interrupted.
≥Black or blue mosaic-like horizontal stripes
appear.

When normal playback cannot be performed
even after the head cleaning
One possible cause is that normal recording
could not be performed because the heads were
dirty at the time of recording. Clean the heads,
and perform recording and playback again. If
normal playback can be performed, the heads are
clean. Before an important recording, be sure to
conduct a test recording to make sure that normal
recording can be performed.
≥If the heads become dirty soon after cleaning,
the problem may be the tape. If so, try another
cassette.
≥During playback, the picture or sound may be
interrupted momentarily, but this is not a
malfunction of the Camcorder. (One possible
cause is that the playback is interrupted by dirt
or dust that momentarily adheres to the heads.)

PV-GS9 mini dv playback problem

I covered several threads that recommended buying a Mini DV cleaner and running it up to 4 times. They also suggested to change to change your video tape as it may have been the cause of the original problem.

These solutions may have worked for many but not me. My camera was becoming progressively worse. It went to blue bars and no sound to no picture at all...just blue. After using a cleaner 4 times I became frustrated to the point I was going to buy a new camera.

However, with the camera still playing, I did the typical guy thing and rolled up my fist and gave it a good hit along side of it. Remarkably it went back to just the blue bars. I hit it again and it went back to a perfect picture. I'm not saying this will work for you and hitting it too hard could make things worse but I was at a point where I didn't care any more and took a chance that paid off.
