Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

Kenmore F 02 error

So I have the same problem cheched the tube and even called someone out to rooter the line in the wall. Did you have to have someone come and take apart your washer? thanks for any help. I need my washer!

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

That is a difficult job even for someone with experience. Is the tubing in the wall or does it run down the wall and then out? Or does it exit the structure at close to the same height as the unit itself. I only ask because hopefully it can be fixed without moving unit. If not, I suggest you call a professional. The copper lines and drain comes in at the same spot and there is not much play, like 3 or 4 inches that it can move before you damage the copper line set.

When reattaching the outer cabinet to my kenmore washer, how do I get the little brass clips that hold the control board to the cabinet, back into the slots where they are supposed to fit. I have applied...


if they won't go back into the slots pull the frame out and reinstall it it's not lined up with the back wall correctly,you have to drop the frame in place get the back wall and line up the outside edges the plastic strips and make sure they go into the frame and then push down on the frame where the clips go in,if the frame isn't down you'll never get the clips in

We own a Kenmore Side by side refrigerator, model #253.54622406. The water has stopped coming out of the water dispenser in the door. What could cause this?


if the ice is opperating normaly listen for a click or humm from the water valve if nothing it may be the switch first check for power at the valve when switch depressed if present replace the valve if valve has power and you hear it oppening and closing it or the line to the dispenser may be plugged. if no ice either check the water supply to the fridge and the filter in the fridge if there is one.

You need a pro here because you could break refrigerant lines and that would be an even more costly repair! Go with someone who knows mini-splits.

My Kenmore coldspot refrigerator is not producing ice. The water works fine, but no ice.


Hi,

I'd start by making sure the ice maker is not simply "shut off". no offense, it is a common occurrence. the unit can be shut off several ways depending on the model you have. some ice makers have a switch right on the ice maker module/head. some have a switch at the side wall of the freezer, if it has an ice bucket on the door, and most if not all ice makers have a shut off arm to automatically shut it down when it's harvested a full bucket of ice, which can accidentally be pushed up into the off position by simply reaching in to grab ice or something other. if all that has been ruled out, ok.

next, start by pulling the unit away from the wall, or whatever the case may be in your environment, as long as you have access to the rear of the unit. (be careful of the water supply line) I should add just because you are getting water from the dispenser on the door does not necessarily mean anything about the ice maker.

**FIRST; before going any further, unplug the unit from the wall**.

now that the unit has no power. shut off the water to the unit. examine the water lines traveling along the back of the fridge so you're familiar with the routing of the lines.(draw a picture/take a photo if you think it's helpful) if this is a bottom mount, you'll see the water line for the ice maker at the lower right hand corner, if it's a top mount, it will be located towards the top right corner, (provided you're facing the back). identify where the line enters what they call the "injector" or "supply tube". you'll notice the line being held in place by a small clamp of some kind. remove this clamp. once the clamp is removed, gently pull the plastic line out of the tube. if you've got the line out of the tube, tape it to the back of the fridge out of you're way, careful not to kink it or lay it on the floor, it could be damaged or water may leak onto the floor. now you have to pull that injector tube out of the back wall. it may be pressed in there (should be) fairly snug, so you'll have to apply steady force while twisting it back and forth, it should pull out and is likely several inches long. once you have that out, is it iced up ? you'll likely have to replace the inlet valve for the ice water supply. some units have a water/ice valve all together with 2 valves on it, some have separate valves for water and ice. you'll need to determine which one by looking or even better, cross reference with the model and serial numbers at an on-line parts supplier or local parts depot.

You should have instructions from Sears that came with the box. Generally, there is a fitting made of brass on the lower part of the back of the fridge. It is generally labeled. Get a kit to connect to the supply...sold at Sears and other appliance/hardware retailers. Generally, they come with some instructions. Find a cold water line of 1/2 inch diameter and make sure it is pretty clean...no dirt/dust on it. Use the clamp/valve unit. Install it on the tubing until it is tight. Tighten the valve according to directions to puncture the cold water line. Install the tubing on the valve and using a small container, turn on the water just a bit to flush the line. Install it onto the fitting on the fridge. If you're making holes in floors or walls to pass the tube through, cover the tubing end with tape when passing it through the wall to keep out the dirt. Tighten the tubing fittings just enough to stop any water drip. Overtightening will cause leaks.

Kenmore wacher drains but the allows drain water back in after cycle is done.

Error code F02 f the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. NOTE: After 4 minutes the ?Sud? error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed. Potential Causes ? Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked ? Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. ? Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects ? If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump
