The power supply for a etc ht2000 was replaced, and the fans run and lights turn on, but i don't even get a bios screen. is there any way to test the video without buying an external card? can you...

Yes there are two ways to test a video card. One is to remove your video graphics card and try to connect the lcd or crt monitor cable to your built-in monitor socket that is located at the uppermost left side at the back of your computer. If your monitor works doing that , then your video card is defective. Two by trying your video card to another computer. if placing or connecting your monitor directly to your motherboards monitor socket, then the problem might be your memory card or the power jack of your power supply . There are two power jack that should be connected to you mother board , one is the four holed socket that should be placed near the side of the processor fan the other one is longer and should be placed at the rightside of your motherboard. If reconnecting it still does'nt work, See if the proper voltage has the same setting that your outlet have, low voltage can cause such problem also. If both was perfect, then try to clean your memory card or get a working one and try it. Have a nice day my friend hope this information could help you.

I have dell laptop model latitude 640c and it give caps blinking error and no display can see.

Most likely you have bad memory installed, or no memory. Unscrew and remove any panels on the bottom of the laptop until you find the memory slots. If there is no memory, buy some and install it. If there is memory, replace it and see if it fixes the issue.

Hello, my pc is very slow and it has very few memory. If I add memory, is it going to be better ? I can't make updates for example... thank you

It depends on what you are calling memory. There are 2 things commonly called memory by users. One is the hard drive where your operating system lives and all your files are stored and the other is the "RAM" kind of like your short term memory where programs are loaded into while they are running.

If its the RAM which is low on space then it is quite possible that upgrading it so there is more would most likely help.

If it the hard drive which is low on space it maybe possible to just have a clear up of your files to free up some space.

Thanks

Hello there. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. according to your post and what I know from experience is if its not overheating then it is one of two things. The first thing it could be is a software conflict causing it to shut down. The other thing it could be is that your motherboard could be faulty. If you are still under warranty it would be a good idea to send it in for repair.

    Hi sir i have asus p5 nmx having nvidia geforce 7050/nforce610i integrated graphic .it shows 390 mb total graphic memory in win 7with 1 gb ram .where it shows 780 mb useable ram .here i have chosen 256 mb...

    512 for 2gb and 780for 4gb

    in intergrated gpu,s the memory is borrowed from the main system memory however the actual intergrated gpu has some of its own memory,but this is normally only small such as 64mb or 128mb however it can borrow memory from the main system memory,something thats known as s.m.a(shared memory architecture)
    there are also some dedicated graphic cards that borrow memory from the main system memory,these are known as "turbocache" with nvidia based cards and "hypermemory" with ati radeon based cards,however these cards are very rarely used now as they were not that efficent and in windows vista they score very low performance baseline scores

    I have noticed that my computer is running slow when I have a bit of things running. It pops up that I have low memory also. -I have used Malware Bytes Anti Malware -Kaspersky Internet Security ...

    Hi and welcome to the site,

    Initially, the described "...24gb of used space and 441gb of free space..." is the hard disk and not the on-board memory. To determine how much memory is currently installed:
    • click Start button;
    • right click "Computer";
    • click on "Properties";
    • goto "System";
    • across "Installed memory (RAM)" is the actual memory.
    It may be necessary to add more physical memory.

    Offhand, have you tried:
    • click Start button;
    • type MSCONFIG in the search box;
    • press Enter;
    • in the Microsoft's System Configuration Utility that would open, click on the Startup tab;
    • un-check any and all unnecessary programs. An example is an updater monitor;
    • click OK;
    • click on Restart to reboot.

    Good luck and thank you for asking.
