Black lines on Plasma TV are cause by either the buffer boards or the logic board. OR your screen is bad. the only way to find out is the replace the boards. I would start with the Buffer boards. The buffer boards are located on the bottom of the screen attached by ribbon cables to the screen. look at the bar and replace the board that lines up with it. You can find parts fro this TV at www.interliquidparts.com You have to get the actual part number from the part on your TV to get the correct one.
Replace lower scan converter PCB, which plugged into Y-Sustainer Board, located to the left of the display if you poke back cover open. There are 2 of them, but in some models might be the one, long PCB.don't wait to fix it! otherwise, you will knock out Y- Sustainer and upper scan converter. That will cause you to spend few hundreds to fix it. Good luck, Alex's TV Service, Philadelphia, Pa, 215-806-5980.
I had the same problem with an Insignia 42" 1080p. Turn off the tv power and disconnect all cables (i started with power cable, then HD cables then HDMI). Wait 30 seconds with nothing plugged in, then I plugged everything back in (in reverse order) and it works fine.
first make sure its not an input problem or from an external source.Disconnect all inputs and see if lines are present with no inputs to tv.if lines affect menu and or ON SCREEN DISPAY (top) there is a good chance (SSB) board could be bad .I would start with this board first ,lvds cable (second) and last the logic board (comes only with new LCD)
One of the driver IC'S has gone bad. Need to replace just the driver IC or the board that the IC is on and that should solve your problem. If that doesn't do it, then the BAD NEWS IS THAT THE PANEL IS BAD. Replacement is you only option then. Good luck. GURU JAY.
