I have the HP Notebook Expansion Base with wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard is working fine but the mouse starting acting up. It started disconecting but I could reconnet by pusing the buttons on the connector and the base of the mouse. After a while that wouldn't work at all. I changed the batteries and now it won't work at all. I can get the tracking ball to work briefly, but not the right or left click or the cursor. Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem as several other people--bought it from WalMart, worked fine, stopped. Replaced batteries, worked fine for a few minutes, stopped again.

There is a light/button on the USB plug. After inserting the USB key press that button then immediately press the connect button on the bottom of your mouse.

Hope this helps fix your problem.

Hello, first you need to press the button on the receaver you plug into pc and right after that you need to press the button in the bottom of the mouse to connect them together.

if this mause uses a PS2 port then a reboot might be required. if its usb, it should work righ away.

Ok, go Start, Control Panel and Open "Mouse"

Go to Hardware and see what "mouses" have been installed

If you see your wireless one theres a problem with the mouse.

and another thing, if you've plugged in your mouse which probabaly goes through the USB ports, windows should recognize it and a thing should pop up in the right bottom tray.

or install the driver [ if provided]

Respond if you need more assistance

    Good luck.

Follow the instructions in the manual, then try it. If it doesn't work your mouse is broken or theres something wrong with your computer.

My wireless Logitech mouse stopped performing. I changed batteries. the red light comes on even before I changed the battery. I have had it about 3 months. Wal Mart told me to look on the back of mouse. ...

So much for Wal-Mart tech support.
If your mouse is not working, first check the batteries to be sure they are good.
You wireless mouse has a USB "antenna" or sending unit. It may have a button on it that says "connect." If so, push it.
The mouse itself has a little button on the bottom that says "connect."
Push that one next. It should now work.
If it doesn't, switch USB ports and try again.
And no, we don't charge for this answer.

Hp optical mouse right click button does not work. it is not wireless. The mouse has a wire. In pc doctor mouse interactive test right button click did not change color.

More than likely the mouse has "worn" per se. I know, not proper terminology, but best to understand. So my suggestion is to get a new mouse, not much you can do unless you take it apart and replace the bearings or button yourself. I'm sure there is a guide for such thing. But if you don't have time then you should just buy a new one from Wal-Mart or your local computer store.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!
