Question about Kenmore 23022 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Wrong water level

I have a kenmore elite model 23022. Everything is ok but the water level is incorrect. Large load overflows but does shut off. the small load fills up to the top of the basket and works for now as a large load. What can I do to fix this problem? And where are the parts needed to fix this problem? Thanks

Sounds like a water level issue, it located behind the consolewrong water level - 2.gif . before replacing switch check the clear plastic tubing going to it for any cracks or holes, and make sure its attached to the rear of tub properly. air pressure goes up that tube tripping off switch so check it first.

Not enough water in kenmore elite 24956301 top load washer

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

I have a Kenmore Elite Total Care System Top Load washer, and for the past two days, the water level will not fill past the medium level even if the setting is on Large level.

The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.

Washing Machine Keeps Filling with Water through Detergent dispen

This machine has a water valve that works on vaccuum from the tub. You will see a small clear hose that runs from the side of the tub up to this valve. This valve is adjustable to change the water level in the tub to desired setting on some machines, but if it goes bad, it will not shut off, thus overflowing the tub. Find this valve and replace it if adjustment does not work.

Kenmore Elite 90 Series overflows

Check for a faulty water level/pressure switch. This is a diaphragm like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level rises, so does the pressure on the air in the plastic tube and when it reaches a certain leve it activates the switch to shut off the water. Make sure there is no obstruction in the tube and that it is not damaged in any way. The switch can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter and checking continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a bad switch. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Kenmore elite he3.on spin cycle makes lots of noise like a motor mount broke.

It could be that you are not setting the water level high enough when you do large loads.also the strap that holds the cement block could have come undone and now the block is unsecure.

Washer will overfill on small load and large

If this happens only on small load cycle , then it can be a faulty timer board.

however check also the water level switch, when there is overfilling this part is always the first suspect.
