Question about Linksys CIT400

1 Answer

Audio problem I just bought this phone. When calling, it rings on both ends but neither side can hear the other talking, just dead silence. It has to be a setting somewhere.

I've had mine for over a year, and it just started doing the same thing in the last few weeks. I'm wondering if something changed at skype? I never had this issue before, and I don't think I changed anything on my network. I've reset the phone and all the other usual stuff.

I had the same problem with CIT400. The problem was easily fixed by doing a reset. The solution was provided by another online friend.

Good luck!

The phone rings but cannot hear either end

I had the same problem with the latest firmware (Version 250). It was working perfectly earlier but this problem arose suddendly. I fixed it after many days by installing an older firmware (Version 245 in my case) and then installing the latest firmware again (Version 250).

You can install the firmware by going to:

Menu > Settings > Advanced > Firmware Update > All Firmware vers. > (select firmware version) > Install

Please make sure that you don't loose power and internet to your base station during the update. Also, your handset should be fully charged.

Hope this will help everyone who has the problem.

Hello, I have a Nortel 1140e with SIP firmware that has been configured to work with my home VOIP system. The basic features work, but the phone doesn't ring on incoming calls and there's an audio delay...

First I will suggest you to upgrade the Firmware....check the ringer tune and volume is OK ... or try pressing Feature key * 6 and Press 1,2,3,4 or next to hear different type of ring types .....Press OK to save it....Now Try....Further result please let us know...Thanks for being with Fixya....Good Luckmoz-screenshot-1.pngmoz-screenshot.png

Does not ring

The Volume key allows you to adjust the volume level for the currently active audio device (handset, headset, or speaker). When no audio devices are active, pressing the Volume key adjusts the ringer volume.

Adjusting the Volume of the Ringer, Handset, Headset or Speaker
Note: By performing this function, default volume level will be replaced.
  1. Press the up or down arrow at either end of the Volume key to reach the desired volume level.

  2. When you are satisfied with the setting, press the Save softkey.
Note: When adjusting only the ringer volume, there is no need to press Save. The settings are automatically saved upon adjustment.

NBX 3102 Headset jack stops working

You should be using a plantronics a-10 interface cable if you are using hardwire headsets. get rid of the m-20 amplifiers. I support 280 of these phones and the best solution is to replace the phone. Power cycling the phone will help for a while but the problem will come back.

Hi

On the phone menu, select "Base Settings" then click on "ringer type". The volume there has 1 - 5, try increasing the volume.
