Hello! A resistive connection on the vehicle's illumination lead is the prime suspect...If you know the wire color for this signal, make sure it's a good solid connection to the P8000R's illumination wire...If you do not know the wire color send a comment with the year and make of your auto...

YEL=Constant (+12V)
RED=Ignition Switched (+12V)
ORG=Illumination (likely 0 to +12V)

Display screen won't illuminate as bright as it use to I think the reason may b that I added two additional speakers wen it's only ment for two. I tried using the dimmer but still not bright enough to

many functions of this system are implemented by
microcomputers. If the system does not work correctly,
disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet, wait for a while, and connect the cord again.
if u connected additional speakers,they need to supply with additional current!so it can take more power & cause damaging supply circuits of electronic boards.usually manufacturers use an internal fuse on supply circuit boards.if you know electronics,you can do this way manually.find the fuse,check it by using an ohm meter (buzzer check) and if it has been damaged,replace with a same AMP fuse.
for more suggestions i need more information my friend.

Hello, That`s not a big deal. I pruchased the part, and mounted it myself. Worked out fine. The only problem I have now, is that the OEL-display doesn`t work any more. That sucks big time....

The front right side of the screen is flickering

Its a lil pricey but its actually an issue with the faceplate...the display has to be replaced.Its a common problem on the pioneer decks with the motorized faceplates. look on ebay for just a faceplate.

Orange = Illumination

Some vehicles have an illumination signal that tells the stereo when your headlights are turned on so that it can dim the display (to help keep from being blinded by overly bright stereo displays at night). If you don't have that signal, don't connect the stereo wire to anything.

Try buying a cleaning CD that will clean the laser lens and see if that helps. Otherwise it sounds like a trip to the repair shop for you. Good luck.
