Since you neglected to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.
First turn on the answering machine function by pressing Answer On/Off on the base. To record the out-going message, press and hold Answer On/Off. Then press and hold Announce (rewind) until you hear a short beep. Speak your message and press Answer On/Off to stop recording. The new ogm will be played back. (see page nine of the manual)
If you are dialing in from a touch-tone phone, press * to skip your Outgoing message. Enter your PIN (000 with the out-of-the factory settings). Then press 9 and then 5 to start recording and 6 to stop recording.
