Looks like you need to install Windows from scratch. You need a Windows installation CD and the product installation code. After Windows is installed you need to install the Acer Aspire 1650 device drivers. If you cannot connect to the Internet then you need a computer that has Internet access to download the device drivers and install them on your Acer.
Download the device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link toget to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
As a last resort when trying to locate drivers for mystery devices in Windows XP, you can sometimes identify the unknown devices by reviewing the results of submitting their hardware ID's to a search engine such as Google. To obtain the hardware ID string, open the device manager, double click the device for which you still need a driver, and select the details tab. The second line in the drop down box should be Hardware IDs. The string you want to use looks like VEN_xxxx&DEV_xxxx with the xxxx being characters 0-9 or A-F (Heaxadecimal). Put the string into Google and see what you get. If you can identify the device correctly it will be much easier to locate the correct drivers.
Hi. You need to install the sound card drivers and the video card drivers. I cannot find any reference to your cd, so I cannot tell you which folders they would be in. Have you tried using Windows Update to see if it finds your drivers? They would be listed under Hardware, Optional on the left once Windows Update finds the updates you need. Give that a try and let me know whether it works or not.
