I have a targus power adapter for airline (pa-aa-70w-cwt) and I am looking for the right TIP for my IBM T43p laptop

    I do not live in the USA, and the closest radioshack must be about 7000 miles away :-(

Wont shutdown when shutdown butten is pressed shuts windows well i have to cut off power to shutdown.


Go to Start > Run and type services.msc. Locate the nVidia Driver Helper item and right click it. Select Properties. Set the startup value of the service to “Manual” or “Disabled”.
Your computer should shut down normally now.

Power problem with laptop


The problem may be in the charger now. It could have shorted out. Do you see any lights on the unit when it is plugged in? James

Hi; I Have a Dell XPS 1530 which is dull if I do not have it plugged in. I have three Targus power cords and cannot use any of them. The one that has the S35 tip fits, but only engaged...


I am showing the AC adpater specifications as:
Input Voltage Range: AC 100V - 240V
Output Voltage: DC 19.5V
Output Current: 4.62A
Power: 90 Watt
Does your adapter meet those specifications?
Although I am a proponent of Targus products, possibly purchasing an OEM adapter may solve the problem. We have successfully purchased ones available from reputible vendors on eBay at a discount.
Have you checked to always show the battery status in the system tray so that you can verify when the AC adapter is actually charging versus an intermittent connection or malfunctioning power socket?

Targus laptop ac adaptor is not recognized by laptop all the time i have to wiggle connector for it to work


its not your ac adaptor its the connector in the laptop it eather has to be fixed or replaced

IBM Netvista eight beeps wont start


8 beeps means video problem
Try reseating the video adapter
look to see if the fan on video adapter is working if it has one?
