How is wired de DB9 pinout conection for the module to speakers in the GS bose media System?

I found a forum post on All About Circuits where a user was trying to find the pinout for a Bose CineMate DB9 connector. According to one of the replies, you can connect the tip, ring, and sleeve to pins 2, 3, and 5 respectively. However, you will not be able to use a remote to turn on and off, mute, or adjust volume without the input adapter module1.

The media center plug is wired to carry your left/right signal for front and rear along with reference and turn on voltage. Here's a link to the media center cable pinout images. If you have the connector you can pigtail in your high level inputs (speaker out from the amp you want to use to the corresponding pins. However, I can't guarantee this will work. Bose makes these cables proprietary for a reason... to make money. If hillrods like you and I can easily hack their stuff then they wouldn't be able to overcharge for their goodies. To enable the full potential of a SUB for Yamaha DSP A5 ,

you need to have

a separate amplifier for your Bose Acoustimass System.


The SUB out should be connected to an active subwoofer.

The Bose speakers with the cubes and bass module are all interconnected with a proprietary cable available from Bose, if lost you get a replacement by called 1-800-444-BOSE.
When you connect the speakers all wires run from the receiver to the base module first, then out to each of the speakers. All terminals on the bass module are labeled.
The Bose cubes are all identical and can be used in the front or back positions.
Try to keep them at ear level or aimed at the listening position for best sound.

The 2 system are completely different your is low level input and its is having only 2 input L and R when those signal they get inside your sub it process through an DSP ( Digital Signal Processor ) and become 5 output to yours satellite cube speakers
The AM6 or 10 are high level input connected direct to any output of any AMP from those signal they convert down to low frequency for sub woofer
