Hi sir my samsung galaxy 3 i5801 is not able to connect to gprs through airtel 98 2 GB plan even after installing manual settings for gprs pl help sumit

sumit ,Any icon you are getting in the phone. For Edge it will come E and Gprs G will come in the display.I purchased the samsung 1 week back and i just put the aircel sim.i not configured any thing.Automatically it is selecting edge and i am able to browse from phone and through data cable (kies) , i am able to browse from my laptop.
In Worst case only go manual settings for gprs.Do one thing, reset to factory default (before take a backup and insert the sim.)wait for 5 minutes if the phone is able to contact the edge or gprs enabled tower you will get E symbol or G for Gprs on your mobile.

My phone is offline and i just want it to be online, what can i do?

Dial customer service (your mobile network) and ask for GPRS settings for Nokia 5230. They will ask you few security questions and until they can accept that your number belongs to you. Then they will send a SMS containing GPRS settings. You open the massage and save it as GPRS settings. Then try to be online.
Think this is helpful !

I bought a sciphone on ebay and put my own t mobile sim in it how do i go on the internet on the phone it keeps saying gprs not subscribed what do i do.....

Did you set it up with the right information for the WAP? Another thing is that your SIM card should be able to send and receive GPRS data, if it doesn't, then you get the GPRS not subscribed message. I'm telling because the same thing happened to me, and I tried it with a friend of mine, and the internet worked.

How to active my GPRS?

restore factory setting puts the phone back to way you had it when you first took it out of the box. you normal will get to options a restore settings and restore all. restore settings is the less destrutive one as the restore all will delete messages pictures and tunes you have save to the phone memory but thing save to exteranal card or sim will be ok. you will be prompted for a security code which is normal prset to 12345. this is not the best meothed for gprs issue as the are controlled by the settings under configration . your gprs probaly is on but it just need the information to log on settings or an account name

What is the correct data or GPRS info for my cect i9 phone?

Hi! Your GPRS or data packet service is currently not activated and thats the reason you can't access internet. So contact at&t and get your gprs service activated first and if it is activated then under your phone connection settings input the following settings-

GPRS Settings:
Settings Name: Cingular Wireless Internet Express
Home Page: http://device:home or http://device.home
Session Mode: Permanent
Connection Security: On
APN: wap.cingular (lower case)
PDP_Type: IP
Gateway IP Address: 66.209.11.61
Port: 9201
Authentication Type: Secure
Login Type: Automatic
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
(All upper case)
Password: CINGULAR1
(All upper case)
MMS Settings:
Service Name: MMS
Server Name (mmsc): http://mmsc.cingular.com
Web Session Name: MMS

Leave user name & password field blank

Also if above settings don't work then try-
148.233.239.24
Port 3128
or
APN: proxy
UserId: leave blank
Password: Leave blank

Browser settings:
IP: 10.250.250.250
Port 9203
home page: http://home
with rest things same

  • Change your password
  • Get an online phone book to store your frequently used numbers
