We have been using our same PC and TEC-472 printer for years. Today it won't print labels. The two green status lights are on, and you can form feed blank labels with the button on front, but when labels are downloaded the green light does not flash and nothing happens. We tried using other programs to print and replaced the serial cable, but nothing works. It's as if it's not communicating with the computer. The cable seems to be making a good physical connection between the laptop and printer. Thanks.

2 possibilities. - The communication parameters are not correct Try 9600 bds 8 data bits 1 stop bit (defaults) Or the control character is not correct See parameters
I can only guess there must be a problem with a setting either within the printer or your pc. It's unlikely to be a hardware fault as the printer self tests ok.
I have repaired quite a few of these printers, but haven't had your problem. I can only suggest your compare the settings (baud rate etc)
