And I'm constanly getting these pop-ups messages which are realy annoying. Apperently this spyware thing has installed itself somewhere in my pc. Could you please instruct me as to how I can get rid of this trojan horse/spyware pop-ups messages.

Many thanks in advance.

My computer is an HP pavilion 753n. Been trying to get rid of the "Spyware-XP 2008" that showed up on my pc a few weeks ago. Loaded Spyware Doctor....It seems to get rid of it, but I have to go into desktop and reset my desktop to "none",to get rid of the spyware message. Then everything seems fine..............UNTIL I shut down my computer. When I turn it back on..................It's BAAACK!!. Even if I disconnect the internet cable from the computer, and pull the power plug, and do a cold boot. What do I do, now? HELP!!

Everytime I try to access the internet I am over run by pop ups--I recently installed a Mcaffee anti-everything and it has not helped.I am curious if this is a spyware problem or a virus of some type?

In addition to Avast, you want to download and install Spybot Search & Destroy, which focuses on cleaning out spyware, malware, adware, etc. It also provides real-time protection against them. One thing to remember about anti-spyware and anti-virus programs is that you need to update them at least once a week.

I had this issue a short while ago and after trying many "solutions" a friend suggested Avast (http://www.avast.com). This freeware antivirus works even better than McAfee at most things including spyware. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Download anti-spyware software and then run thorough scan to clean ur computer,
"Spyware Doctor" is a good option.
