Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I am trying to install xp home version back on my home pc. however the product key code i put in from the package says its not valid. how do i get past the part where u put in the code.... please help asap
You have to ensure the complete package is uninstalled First.
When you install XP, it writes a value to the system registry.
If you are trying to re-install this, try looking to see if you have a C.O.A on the back or underside of the Computer.
This will be a holographic Sticker, with your Windows XP serial Code On It. Try using this Code instead of whats written on the CD Packet.
Your other option, ensure your hard-drive has been formatted and preferably zeroed. to ensure no-data exists on it.
If none of these solve your problem, e-mail me for alternative solutions.
