Question about ASUS P4S533-VM (P4S533-VM/L) Motherboard
first of all thanks of kid suggestion. yesterday i updated the bios. but still the 160 gb hdd is showing 123 gb and not stabel yet, do i have to update the flash bios. if so how coz i don't have any floppy drive.
The issue with your board is that it can't see drives above a certain size. This does require a BIOS update, usually involving a floppy drive. Look in your BIOS - there may be an option for you to be able to boot from other devices. Check to see if "USB Floppy" is one, as it means you could potentially use an external floppy drive, which are cheap at most electronics stores.
Alternatively, if you or a friend has another computer, you might try borrowing a floppy drive to do the update.
Alternatively, you could go to the manufacturer's website and check the information they have for your particular board. Many now let you download an executable file with the recent BIOS updates that you can use without having to use a floppy drive. Some also have methods that you can burn to a CD.
