It would be a great help if we knew the make and model number, Most electronics supply stores have wire wound resistors. Many of them have adjustable terminal taps so you can set the resistance to the value that you desire. The problem is that components are made to fit into a specific location so the option of buying a wire wound resistor and then being able to mount it directly into your food processor is pretty much gone. Honestly the best source for your part is going to be the maufacturers authorized service center. It would be a great help if we knew the make and model number, Most electronics supply stores have wire wound resistors. Why do you want it rewound? It may only need brushes. Look for a local motor re-furbisher and ask or contact omega. I have no idea where you are geographically, another fixya deficiency, but you could contact these people: http://www.smsfoodequip.com/food_slicer_spares.htm I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply and remember, even if you don't vote for me a please and thank you goes a long way.
I just replaced the microswitch in mine with a Radio Shack (Source here in Canada) part, works great. I belive it was part number 2750016, or something close to that. Just take your old microswitch in and compare to find the right one. Two wires to solder, it bolted right up and is working again.
The Magic Bullet power base is designed with HIGH TORQUE MOTORS and it is NOT TO BE USED FOR MORE THAN A MINUTE PER USE.Otherwise its gonna last a long time. You need to buy a new one or a refurbished one. Search google with keywords "amazon magic bullet power base".
It is a thermistor and the value should be approximately 100k ohms at room temp.
You can substitute a pair of 100k ohm resistors to allow operation but to actually get the protector board to function as designed you will need the ~100k ohm thermistor with the correct temp / resistance curve bonded into the stator.
An option would be to use a standard motor starter for the protection although the wiring gets a bit tricky with the relays, aux switches and the reversing contactor.
Another option would be to imbed / affix a klixon type overload into the windings and wire this in series with your 100k ohm resistor.
This will still allow the board to indirectly protect the motor.
The transformer can be found at a good wholesale electronics store, it is 12 volt and will register slightly higher with ohm meter. You can also use a 220 to 24 volt transformer.
