Make sure you turned on the wireless adapter....Check for the driver status....go to start>run>type "services.msc"

scroll down to wireless zero configuration (for xp) / wlan auto config (vista and win 7) and start the service....


also disable any utility that controls your wireless adapter and use windows default utility....

D-link DIR-625 wireless router is setup and wired to laptop

First of all make sure the Wireless switch in your Laptop is turned on.

Now Disconnect the cable from the Laptop to the Wireless router

Now go to your Wireless Network connection and search for the available network. Select the appropriate network and connect.

Accessing the Internet

goto start
click run
type ncpa.cpl
click ok
network connections will come up
right click on wireless network conections
goto status and check whether sending and receiving packets are fine or not , it shud not be zero
goto support category on top of that window and check whether you are getting correct ip address or not
try to disable and enable the wireless network conections
