Button the left soft key doesn't respond at all, that's the option key for everything. I can't delete texts because it doesn't work. HELP PLEASE.

Hi,

In order to mass delete messages on Nokia E71 , please try the following:
a. press the "messaging" button - the one with the envelope on it
b. Navigate to the "Inbox" tab (by pushing right or left a few times, as needed)
c. Choose "Option" (left soft key)
d. Choose "Mark/Unmark)
e. Choose "Mark All"
f. Press the Backspace key
g. select "yes"

Open a text message then on the bottom of the screen look for the word options. Key to the word and click enter to open the options menu. Then key to delete and you phone will ask you if you want to delete the message and you respond by keying enter. You have to do this with each message.

It is just easy...

3. Select Reject List (5)
4. Highlight the desired entry, using the navigation keys
5. Press the left soft key for Options
6. Select Delete (2)
7. Choose Selected (1)
8. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm the deletion of the Reject List entry

hello my friend, here's the steps to remove a number from the reject list.

To delete entries from the Reject List follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press the right soft key for Menu
2. Select Address Book (8)
3. Select Reject List (5)
4. Highlight the desired entry, using the navigation keys
5. Press the left soft key for Options
6. Select Remove (3)
7. Choose Selected (1)
8. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm the deletion of the Reject List entry

To delete All entries from the Reject List follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press the right soft key for Menu
2. Select Address Book (8)
3. Select Reject List (5)
4. Highlight any of the entries, using the navigation keys
5. Press the left soft key for Options
6. Select Remove (3)
7. Select All (2)
8. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm the deletion of All Reject List entries

If you want to mass delete your Text...from either inbox or any other folder... open the folder eg. Inbox press options then scroll to mark and mark all, then press option again and delete, you will delete everything there...

Go to images, press the options (left) soft key to view the options:
Select Delete, you can delete either selected or many pictures that you have selected.


its the same, always left soft key (options) and then select delete from the list.

Go into a message like you are typing a new one. On the left or right soft key, they should be "options" - select that. When in the options menu, look for "typing options", "writing options", or something related to the dictionary. It is in there that you should be able to turn the dictionary on or off, which enables or disables predictive text.

in your messaging screen, choose settings (soft key). Under "all messages" choose option 2 "auto erase". Switch this to on. If you also switch "auto save" to on, it will store up to 50 texts before deleting the oldest text as new ones are received. Anyway, turning auto erase on is the way to fix your problem. I don't know what it is, but razrs can be finicky like that sometimes.
