Question about Xerox Phaser 6250DP Laser Printer

1 Answer

Phaser 6120 I feel exactly as you do. If something was really screwed up, the B&W would be screwed up, too. But it prints perfect B&W. But if there are any color sections on the page, they look horrible. I did a calibration, which changed nothing. I will remove all the cartridges as you suggest. I have removed them one at a time and found nothing wrong (except for the magenta cartridge, which began leaking magenta powder about a week ago). And I will follow your other suggestions and report back. Also, I vow to buy only Xerox produced cartridges in the future. These aftermarket ones are not very reliable.

Yeah. Most are ok. But the best way to go it OEM with any product.
Do they cost more? Yes, but the reliability certainly makes it work the cost.

Konica Minolta 1690MF causing Fuser Paper Jam error when printing color. Does NOT happen when printing black and white. (Paper is genuinely stuck entering the fuser). Why is the problem happening for...

I was wondering if the original poster of this problem found a solution. My printer does the EXACT same thing. B & W printing is perfect. Any color print jams in the fuser. The printer feeds the paper too far (from thin copy paper to cardstock) so that the top of the page is cut off. Konica sent me a new fuser but that did not solve the problem. Again, this only happens when printing any page that has color on it (even a document with only one letter in color). B&W printing is unaffected.

Why is my Canon Pixma 4820 suddenly leaving lighter lines through color pictures.

Worn print head. And for what they charge for a stinking print head you can get a new printer for less with a warranty to boot!

Any idea how is Sunbelt Men's Neptune 190 Metal Sunglasses?

I was searching for just the perfect sunglasses. I had two pair of Bolle for years but didn't want to spend the money again for something that always eventually breaks or gets broken. Well, the Sunbelt Neptune are really great sunglasses. They look great and fit great. They don't feel weird on my face and they're a good weight. I'm very pleased with them, especially for the price. I like them so much that I am ordering another pair in a different color.

Vertical banding (rainbow effect)

You need to scan the prints at the same resolution that they were printed. Otherwise you'll get that screen door effect (moire pattern). I think this effects most scanners. I'm currently looking for a photoshop solution to this problem since I don't have the originals. Not fun.

Printing incorrect colours

Usually when it does that, it's just the nozzles that are really clogged up on the print head. Even if it does not sound logical, many colors use a bit of red and yellow to get the exact tint. In the many years i've fixed computers i've seen it at least a million times, one of the color nozzles clogs up and prevents that color from coming out, and from what your saying, coming out pink means that it uses only a little bit of red to get the exact tint of blue needed for the photo or image and the blue never comes out. So clean it up with the software that comes with it a few times, if it still won't work then either take the print head our and dunk it for the night in rubbing alcohol, or if you don't feel safe doing that yourself, bring it to your local computer technician and he'll give you an estimate of how much it will cost to fix and you'll see if you prefer bying a new printer or fix this one.

Color Problems HP 6110

Sounds annoying. :>)

Two ideas come to mind. First is that some HP printers have software installed for controlling the colour output for all programs, or only some programs, often called COLOR PROFILES or something similar. Open up the printer's PROPERTIES and then dig through the ADVANCED settings to try to find any reference to colour profiles and then reset them all to the default. Also dig through your machine's software and try to find any HP programs that might think they have a say in how things are printed, especially programs running all the time from the system tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Or, it might be a few programs who are not doing colour output properly. When you print from a web site page, are the colours any closer?

I'm sure you've already done this, but download the latest drivers from the HP web site and install them, making sure they are for exactly your model.

Good luck...
