First a nitpick: your memory card is Memory Stick Pro Duo, it's not an SD card. Secure Digital is one specific type of memory card, distinct from xD, CF, Memory Sticks, and other memory card types.

Try camera in another USB port of laptop and also check it with another USB cable, if still problem not solved then plug camera in any other computer to make sure that it is problem of camera.
If camera still wont work in other computer then its USB port got defective, please use memory card reader to transfer pictures in computer, take out memory card from camera, put it in memory card reader and plug it in USB port of computer.

Are you saying you have a separate card reader but it doesn't work? Or are you speaking about a card reader slot on the computer that doesn't work? Card readers have slots for different cards on one end and a USB plug on the other that you plug into a USB slot on your computer.

Try another SD card all SD cards (even though they fit and look the same) are not compatable withall devices

the memory stick pro duo should fit right into the sony cybershot....
if your struggling to load your photos onto your computer buy a universal memory card reader!
you should try and use a memory stick in a camera that needs an sd though!
