Os not found usually means that your hd is faulty.
try remove hd and reseat it.
if no joy have os disk(windows) in cd drive start pc and boot from disk.
select install windows...system checks drive and informs of existing os..want to continue...install windows...next screen shows partitions.choose to delete partition then create new then format and install.
if when u try to boot from disk system say no hd found then hd is damaged.

Try this, unplug, remove battery, leave battery out, plug in, reboot. Post results. Have you tried a System Restore/Recovery using the F keys at boot? Do you have a repair disk?

Or use Down Arrow to highlight Standard BIOS options, and press Enter key.

Operating system not found?

Hi
If your laptop says Operating System not found then you need to install the operating system.
It is easily available in any Local Computer Shop.
Just insert the CD in the laptop and try to start the computer it might ask some detail just follow the instruction on the screen and it will automatically install the Operating System.
The Common Examples are Windows Xp, Vista, and Win 7.
You can use anyone as you want. But I will suggest to use windows xp.

Thank you. If you have any trouble do come back in fixya

Hi, the laptop will not boot up. no operating system found

Put in Windows CD to see if it picks it up, go to install screen to see if it will start to install, if it does then it is finding your HDD. Try the repair option then. Your windows may just be corrupted.
Also try hitting F8 for other options, e.g. Safe mode to remove corrupted drivers.

Most likely a hardware issue already as how you described it. So your fan is not working? Your system is heating up already. It might also have gotten some damage on the video as well. You have to get someone check the hardware locallly.

Display problem in Fujitsu LifeBook C Series(c-6631

the internal bulbs of ur monitor screen have deteriorated...the manufacturers are real smart, these monitors dont last forever. So if repair estimate is too expensive then replace the whole unit.

Always purchase laptop or notebooks NEW or never more than 5 years old.

Ibm thinkpad T-40 screen blackout intermittant

There is a toggle key that switches your monitor from on to projecter to dual monitors. If this key gets pressed accidently then the screen will to black. Try hitting the FN +F5 or FN+F6 keys at the same time. Push the keys down three of four times each. The sleep mode would change back to active mode if you re-booted your system.

Hello jarkk, I believe your problem is with your backlight inverter. the hard drive should be installed for this process of checking it on an external monitor. with the hard drive removed it will not boot to the operating system. with the drive in, use the external monitor. if the monitor works when plugged into the external monitor plug, this will eliminate a bad video card. if the screen is still black on the laptop screen, replace your backlight inverter. the last case cenario is to make sure your backlights are not burnt out.
