I have a foxconn C51XEM2AA that suddenly failed to boot up ,with no previous symptoms. About 3 days before this non startup my wife in haste got her foot caught in the mouse wire and pulled the computer off the desk. The unit was fine for 3 days.I shut it down and whe i tried to fire it up again, nothing. No video screen, the HD.led comed on briefly then nothing. There is a debugging L.E.D on the Motherboard that has what looks to be a dA displayed. This is not one of the options in the manual.Any ideas? Thanks much.. Keith Kcrews@comcast.net

It looks like something is loose .
open it up , take off everything , connect back everything .
ensure that everything is fully inserted and seated.
then turn on.
if nothing is damaged , it should come on.
if it comes on and shows no operating system , you need to reformat and reinstall.
good luck

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Mainboard error for install to win7 finalliting install

Hello the mainboards homepage is here:

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000576

From here you can download a manual.
You need at least 1gb of ram to install windows
And min.1,6 ghz cpu.
Is the windows disk an original or a copy ???
If a copy it may have be burned too fast.
Burn it not more than 4x or it will skip some files
and not be able to finalise the installation
I could also be the dvd drive.

Try also to enter the bios and set it back to factory settings
remember to set up the boot option again.
You also need a sata harddrive.
An IDE drive is too slow.

First boot device dvd
And second the harddrive

Good luck

My new video card Sapphire HD5770 is installed and now my pc will not post or boot, what can i do?

Make sure you have your card installed correctly in your PCIe slot, it should hook in. You also have to hook up power supply. This card requires minimum 450 watt power supply and 600 watt power supply if using crossfire and dual mode. If your system meets these requirements, and you have card seated properly and hooked to power supply. You may have to enter your bios and dedicate the PCIe slot. I'm guessing the system will boot without card.

Alienware c51xem2aa out the box wont turn on

If there was a spark and it smelled, something probably burned through. If I were you, I'd send it back to Alienware and request a new one. Even if you could fix this now, the risk of it breaking again in the future is much bigger. I hope you'll get your new PC fast, Yannick.

Will not boot

try unseating the memory then plugging it back in.

Robert ...

If it was that humid i'd even suggest leaving it in a dry place for a few days... but reseat the memory either way.

No boot up or bios or image after installing the new mother board, Mr Bogdan

Brand new board? Unlikely to have a problem. Are you sure you connected the small 4 pin power supply connector to the motherboard as well? (besides the main supply connector)

If you have any IDE drives make sure you have not reversed the orientation of the cable.

Regards,

Anand
