Question about Samsung SGH-T619 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

I have a T-Mobile Samsung picture cell phone and it won't call out. I first started to notice the issue when a red icon next to the battery icon appeared. It seems to have a lightening bolt on either side and ever since it showed up I can rarely call out, I can't even call my voicemail. Out of 20 attempts at a call I MAY be able to connect once and then only for a few seconds before I'm disconnected and can't call again. It's a Samsung SGH-T619

I don't think I've seen the lightning bolt but i am having the same problem, and I very seriously doibt that my inability to call out has anything to do with reception because it happens EVERYWHERE I go, and often I have full or near full bars.I'd agree that MAYBE one out of 20 calls will actually work.

I have a T619 cellular, recently i am facing problems. 1 when i call some number it says that the other telephone is not available, sometimes it gets connected but other party has a problem of hearing, it nalso gets disconnected after some time. the other persons calling my number always complain that they are not getting my number, and when i get connected i face the same problem of getting disconnected or the other person cannot hear me properly. a flickering red dot on object like chip at the top on the right ofsignal sign is appearing these days

I'm having the same, super frustrating problem! Sometimes when I turn the phone off or take the battery out, it will then let me make a call but this doesn't always work. Lately, I can only make the rare call out and often can't access voicemail. Also, incoming calls are shuttled right to voicemail frequently. Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated!

I hate this phone. It seems a lot of people who have this phone have the same problem. I think T-mobile and Samsung should own up and compensate us for our loss or airtime, frustration and sanity.

Mine shuts off by itself and restarts again. It kept showing I'm calling someone but the connection is not made, even when I close its **** shell. Even worse than trying to hang up? Not being able to answer a call when it comes in.

I have a very similar problem. If I take the back cover of the phone, I have no problems making or receiving calls. It is the phone problem IMHO. Not sure what to do other than changing to a different phone or using the phone without the back plate, but that's not a good solution either.

How to use phone/Samsung galaxy Samsung galaxy S 111

I am assuming you just updated your phone Robert and if you have not used a smart phone before it is very daunting. One of the unknown things is using your finger. Unlike your old phone the smart phone is touch screen so drag your finger across the screen and it goes to the next page also touch icons on the screen to select. So if you want to call there will be a phone icon. They usually also assume everyone knows how to use a smart phone and do not provide a user manual.
find the model number under the battery
then try and find a user manual

I have the same issue, this is a bit ****, If you press the lock button on the side it will go back to the locked screen, at least then you can see the battery charge and Radio icons, though you still cannot use the phone.

Lower left screen with picture of a clock with red and yellow picture

That sounds like you are in "Alarm Only" mode. You can look through the Icon Glossary to make sure that's the icon you're seeing -- go to the menu, choose Settings & Tools, then Phone Info, then Icon Glossary.

I bought an s3500 a few days ago, but when I was passing some files with the bluetooth suddenly it died and I can't turn it on. I tried to charge it but it useless it doesn't even appear the battery icon

Hi, your phone frooze up due to excessive files sent to the phone memory with is to small for such content. What you have to do is to take the phone to a mobile phone technician to flash (the only way to restore the phone back) the phone and it will start working.
Make sure you accept bluetooth transfer on your micro sd card next time to avoid such problem.

Take care

I can't turn off my Samsung SGH - D880

Yesterday I also got the same problem on Samsung DUOS SGH-D780!
I found temporary solution how to drop this error message and run the phone normally, but after next reboot it often become again. I will ask Samsung tech. support about this, but now here is the emergency solution:

1. Turn OFF the phone (by removing the battery)
2. Move out all the SIM cards from the phone
3. Insert the battery again (BUT DON'T TURN ON THE PHONE, just insert the battery)
4. Insert a charging cable into the phone and insert the adapter in wall outlet

(then I see the loading screen for the short time and after that CHARGING icon appears)

5. After that turn ON the phone. It will start in no-sim mode.
6. Turn OFF the phone
7. Remove battery, insert SIM-cards, insert the battery.
8. Turn ON the phone

After that it gonna be work good until next reloading...
