Check the dial setting. - presoak, off, cleaner, rinse
is cleaner bottle correctly inserted?
is clean water resevoir empty?
is dirty water resevoir full?
these items will prohibit the water/cleaner from coming out.

Try cleaning the Flow Indicator Filter. Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise to remove, lift rotor and filter. Clean filter and replace in reverse order. Bissell's Consumer Care # 1-800-237-7691

Wont pump water

Take the water tank off, you should see 2 spraying nozzles. You need to get to these and clear them out with a needle or something. Did the trick for me.

Or could be the pump itself. Confirm this using the hand tool - if it sprays water then the pump is fine.

Water wont spray out of bottom carpet cleaner but will out of the scrubbing hose

First try putting in a little hot water in the water resevoir , let sit for about about 5 mins. then try it. if this doesn't work, flip the machine over and locate the spray jets on the bottom. You'll need a pin or something small enough to clean out the jets bye sticking pin or paperclip in it . Detegent left in the machine sometimes cloggs the jets.Empty water before you flip the machine over.
