Fridge is kicking on but not cooling

Lights are working and sounds like it's running. Compressor is kicking on & off and air is blowing in the freezer but it's not cold enough air to cool the fridge or freezer?

If the compressor is "kicking on and off" while the unit itself continues to run, the compressor is failing to start, either due to the start relay / overload kit or the compressor itself is bad.

this is one part of the refrigerator I recommend you have a qualified refrigerator service test. If tested wrong, you could end up causing damage to compressor, turning an inexpensive repair into a new refrigerator purchase

The defrost circuit may have failed and the refrigeration coils have become a block of ice.You should be able to remove a plastic cover in the freezer that will allow you to inspect the coils. Replacement of the defrost timer is usually an easy task. A parts breakdown is available at the Sears web page.

FFUS2613L freezer and fridge warm. All lights working, motor running. Air blowing not cool enough. Unit about eight years old.

If the compressor is running and it isn't cooling, then you have a bad compressor. Most likely it will not be worth repair. Time for a new refrigerator.

My frige & freezer do not cool, light & freezer fan run, compressor & coil fan do not run,air is blowing out of air vent in freezer,no cooling at all

If the compressor isn't running, the refrigerator or freezer won't cool - period. Hopefully, by now, you've had a repair technician come and troubleshoot the problem.

Samsung rs2630sh not cooling or freezing

If it has fan to deliver cold air, and it is not working, cold air is stuck on the begining. So your fan could be dead. And I suppose, that compressor is running all the time. Even compressor could stert freezing if fan does not deliver cold air in fridge. The other option is, that there is not enough gas in the compressor. In this case compressor vould not be freezing, but line, going out of compressor has to be hot, if it is not, there is no gas.

Runs loud when the compressor kicks in? Why?

Check vibration eliminators on the feet of the compressors, over time of running in tough conditions they wear out and cause rattling. If this does not fix the problem see below

-check amp draw, if amp draw is high windings are wearing out and compressor is running harder, may need replaced
- check to make sure your refrigerant charge is correct you could be slugging the compressor
-find other ways to isolate compressor operations

Fridge question

Sounds like you mad have a bad relay or overload on the compressor. I would also check your condenser fan motor to make sure its running and blowing air on the compressor to cool it. If its not running the compressor may be overheating and shutting off on its overload. If the condenser fan motor is running I would assume that you would need a new relay and overload it will come in a kit. Usually it will make a clicking sound when the compressor is TRYING to start and then shuts off on its overload if the start components are bad.
Hope this helps _MJ_

I have a Whirlpool Refridgerator model WBM39MS. It stopped cooling and I had it repaired. The Repairman replaced the electronic control box. Repairer claims that the compressor is working. It now seems...

Hi Lollipop, partially working fridge? A fridge either works or not, cold air is made in freezer then distributed to fridge via a vent. In your case WBM Series fridge, top mount freezer blows air down a vent (back centre of chiller compartment). A common fault with the WBM Series is both the PCB and Interface Panel (PCB beside compressor back of fridge, Interface is display panel front of fridge).
So if freezer is cold and fridge not, try a fan motor. If compressor doesn't work either comp is faulty or PCB has blown(has a burning smell).. Hope this helps you and maybe many other ppl.

Coleman mach 3 rv roof mount ac

You will need 12 vdc (battery or converter) for controls to work, and 115 VAC (hydro) for fan & compressor to work. With your fan obviously working, that tells me you have both already but compressor may not be kicking in. Do you hear a "moaning" sound or see lights dim when switched to cool?

Not cooling, clicking sound from low

The cilcking sound is probably the klixon circuit breaker kicking out and resetting and kicking out again. If so, the unit is scrap as you have a compressor failure, electrical or mechanically related.

LG fridge suddenly stopped cooling.

If the fan inside the freezer is running and the compressor behind the fridge is running and is hot to touch, you have a gas problem or the compressor is inefficient. This can only be confirmed by connecting refrigeration gauges to the gas system and should only be performed by a fridge tech.
