I cant get my computer to stay on when i turn it on so i think i need to get a hard drive but dont know and dont know do i need to get the same hard drive or anoher one

If the computer starts up and you can see Windows, you don't need a new hard drive in all probability. You no doubt have some corrupted Windows files.
If you keep getting hard drive errors or when you start it up you get nothing at all, you MAY be having a hard drive problem.
You have not provided enough information to help us advise you.

As for the hard drive--no, you don't have to get the same make or size. You just have to match it to the type of interface (IDE or SATA). BTW--a 5400 rpm hard drive makes the batteries last longer.

How do i fix my hp decktop hard drive please let me know ok i need help .

When you get an error message relating to hard drive then the fault could be a configuration or a faulty hard drive.
1st go to the BIOS configuration and check the BIOS setting for the hard drive - Does the BIOS detect the hard drive?
This problem could be a problem with the data connections to the hard drive.
If the hard drive is not detected, turn off the computer and open the case and remove the data cable from the hard drive and re-insert the cable back into the hard drive, also on the other end of this cable, remove the data cable from the motherboard connector and re-insert the cable. Then reboot the computer.
If the hard disk does not spin up and the computer does not detect the hard drive, then the hard disk is probably faulty.
To get the computer operating again, the hard disk needs to be replaced and Windows installed on the new hard disk plus the HP desktop's device drivers and your programs.
Please let me know if this solves your problem and if you need further assistance.

Windows wont start. dont know how it happened.

press F2 to go to the system setup, then press arrow down to highlight Standard CMOS feature, then press enter. Verify if the hard drive is detected, mostly it is installed in SATA 0 and you should see like a serial no of the Hard drive. If the hard drive is not detected, you might need to reseat the cables of the hard drive inside the computer. Make sure that all the cables at the back of computer is unplugged to be safe. After you reseat the hard drive cable, plug cables at the back of the computer then turn on computer and press F2, verify if the hard drive is detected, if still not, try to swap the connection of the hard drive and the dvd drive of the computer. Plug back the cables and turn on comp and press again F2, this time the the dvd drive should be on the SATA 0 and hard drive should be on the oter SATA port. If the hard drive is still not detected, you need to replace the hard drive, but if the hard drive is detected on the other SATA port and the dvd drive is not detected on SATA 0 then you need to replace the mother board.

My wife fall in love with someone online...so i need to know her hotmail password to verified...how can i get her password

you have to go acer service center. or
hold down windowskey and press r

type in services.msc

find the elock service, right click properties, disable the service, and stop the service.

you may need to set a new drive letter for the optical drives
(right click my computer - manage - left side disk management - find drives without letters, right click assing or change drive letter)

if you can't uninstall the program? its asking for a password? Its extremely easy to reset the password but would need to know what version of the software your running.

I got emachine w 3619 i want to install a dvd burner i need to know what will work and what brand i need

According to the eMachines website, the W3619 already has a DVD-RW drive installed. If you are replacing it or adding a second drive, you can put in anything you like. Mounting dimensions are standard, so any brand will fit. I don't know if the original drive is parallel IDE or SATA connection, but the motherboard will support both types of drive.

Hard drive

Hello!

Removing the hard drive shouldn't be a problem. Make sure that your computer is plugged in but the power is turned off. Rest your arms on the metal of the case to ensure you are grounded and do not fry any parts with static electricity.

Remove the drive by unplugging the molex (the part hooked in to your drive that is wired to the power supply) and the IDE cable or SATA drive cable.

If you need to plug IN a drive, that would be different and potentially more complicated but you only ask how to disconnect it. If you do need additional assistance, please let me know. If I misunderstood your question, let me know as well and I'll try to offer additional solutions.

Good luck!
