ON THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN , THERE IS A WHITE AREA ABOUT 8"x8"x20". IT IS CONSTANT. YOU CAN SEE THE PICTURE OVER THE LIGHT , AND WHEN ITS BLACK , IT IS BRIGHT IN THAT CORNER. I CAN VAGUELY SEE THE WORDS "ESPNHD" ALONG THE RIGHT SIDE, EVEN THOUGH ITS ON ANOTHER CHANNEL. IT IS 2 AND A HALF YEARS OLD.
Not sure rlbstein is really helping u with your problem other than stating the obvious. Sorry we got cut off during the chat session. email me and we will continue @ [email protected] or call me at 502-773-7969 and ask for Jay
It isn't image retention or burn in, but it is in fact a LCD problem that sony recognizes as a problem but the easy fix is in the service menu under modes 1 modes 2 and modes 3. Basicly you switch modes and problems solved. Sony isn't exactly sure why this is occuring but that was the fix as of 3 years ago on those tv's....Hope that helps you more then the other so called GURU...
Sounds like you have burn in. A condition from watching a channel a lot that has a non-moving picture, like ESPNHD usually does. It's kind of the same condition old console style video games would burn the score into the screen.

Hi Diego, I have the same problem only the area is blue and not white and I also have ESPN HD in the bottom right hand corner. What (if any) solution did you come up with to fix the problem?
Thanks, Brandon
