My tv went to a repair center and they said they do not make parts for my tv any more ... so i called sony they said that they are still parts available then they went on to say if your tv is over 7 years old, from the year it was manufacture, then no they do not. my was manufacture in 2003 so no its not 7 years old, they still didn't answer me...... i even e-mailed them..... i will never buy another sony again and i will tell my friends to tell their friends to tell their friends and so on not to ever buy a sony i hope they go under...........

Had the exact same problem on a KDP-65WS550.
I replaced IC8002 (MCZ3001DA) and IC8005 (TL1431CZ) on the "D" board and this resolved the problem. Total cost including parts and shipping was around $35.00.

No picture or sounds red light blinks 10 times

The parts you need are two diodes, D6301, D6309, and D6116, Sony part numbers 6-500-567-21 (D6301 and 09) and 8-719-081-97 (D6116), they are located on the G board, and that's located on the left side of the set, as seen from the back.

D6116 is connected to pin 9 of transformer T6101, and D6301 and 09 are in series off of pin 7 of that transformer.
