Rd634 clarion changer error code 9

two reasons one if you are recording a disk the error is because the disk may be scratched so you must cycle off the power and try a new disk if your not trying to record a disk error code 9 also means and this is taken directly from the manual..

What are the 2 yellow wires for on the back of my clarion DB186MP

the large yellow wire is constant. unless you have a changer hooked up to the deck, don't worry about the smaller yellow wire.

When i install cd it says error 6 on my clarion dxz465mp

Clarion Audio error codes:

Error Codes:

Error 1 Battery inside CD Changer needs to be replaced.

Error 2 CD error message. Mechanism has as eject problem or takes a long time to select CD.

Error 3 CD error message. The pick-up is out of focus during play mode due to scratches on the disc or contamination.

Error 4 Connection problem. Reconnect the data cable.

Error 5 CD error message. Could not read correct data due to CD ROM.

Error 6 CD error message. Could not read data from disc because it is upside-down.

Error 8 Tape Drive system defective. Eating tape or something wrong with the drive system.

Error 9 Weak RF. Try alternate frequency

Even though it says error 6 is an upside down cd, it just means the disc cant be read. usualy means the laser is dirty, out of adjustment, or not working.

CDAC ER2

CDAC ER2 usually means a cd is stuck, not reading properly, or that the magazine is stuck or broken. take out all cds and try it with a known good cd (one that played ok in the past). if that doesn't work, try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.

if it still doesnt work, take the magazine out, power it up so that you get the "no mag" error, then insert the magazine with no discs and see if it still errors out with ER2. if it does, then the magazine is bad, or the changer is bad..

if it works, then try the known good disc again, if it works now, your magazine was probably stuck, or one of the other cd's isn't liked by the changer.

hope this helps,
trin

Clarion RDC634 Error 9

First thing to suspect would be the antenna cable or antenna. Check it is connected properly to the back of the unit, and check the cable all the way along to the antenna - these are prone to internal corrosion when they get a bit old. Easiest way to check is to get a new antenna and cable (they are cheap) and plug it in directly to the back of the unit. Check the ground connection of the unit is good - any terminals might need a clean up - disconnect the battery first. These guys have a service manual for sale; http://www.user-manuals.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Clarion+RDC634+manual&forward=plist&osCsid=64c58306e0b8605abe537ef57684dcc0 so do these; http://www.manualscenter.com/allprod-42-217.html here's the link for a free download of the owner's manual (it says is for the 635, but is also for the 634); http://safemanuals.com/user_guide_instructions_owner_manual_CLARION_CDC635%20OWNER%27S%20MANUAL_E.htm Hope this helps :)
